"Treatment for autism" Nice way to destimatize a mental disorder
@mai-ya-hee3 жыл бұрын
Hey swaddle! There is no ‘treatment’ of autism, nor should there be, because there’s absolutely nothing wrong with autistic people and saying otherwise is very harmful
@lalhitrs30off823 жыл бұрын
@@mai-ya-hee Yes, it's written in the report of which the link has been shared, that there is no treatment for Autism as of now, but the condition can be improved if proper care is given in early states of childhood.

I had autism since i was a child and parents would always stop me from going to play outside with friends. my mom always distanced me so that i dont embarass them and when i did they would beat me which made it worse. i never learned to understand my behaviour and heal but instead hid everything and became repressive .why? because if i laughed ,my dad would say how weird it was and told me never to laugh outside like that same if i cried too and they would point out everything about me . now i dont look autistic because i successfully hid everything but i have worse problems to worry about now. their judgements about me led me to develop social anxiety and body dysmorphia and ofcourse theyll blame me for being crazy and such an embarassment to the family because who is going to marry someone like me? indian parents dont even care if their child has a mental disorder their only problem is if their child would be marriageable or not

One time my mother tried to throw some light about autism spectrum to a young mother regarding her daughter but the young mother attacked verbally to my mom. My mom is above 50 years and she comes from a rural family but her thoughts are of this age. There are so many educated people out there who are in denial of autism let alone elderly people. This kind of video is very helpful to us viewers to spread the awareness of such medical conditions to our people.

Kudos to your mom for being young at 50 years of age! Autism requires parents to shed all their preconceptions and expectations so that they may really understand their kid. Help kids with autism to blossom naturally!!

Whole country is in Denial in my opinion. We have lots of issues just like other countries most of them we don't talk because we compare ourselves with worst and then pretend we are better then them. But why not resolved these issues right now instead of making it worse so that we won't able to face the worst in future

Tbh I do think I have high functioning autism but it's kinda the fact that no one in India talks about this.. I mean yeah I can watch videos from white creators but if I knew experiences of other Indian people who have high functioning autism then I could relate and see if I actually have it or not. Because culture also could have an impact imo ( it could and could not I am not really sure )

Certain abnormalities in brain structure or function that hinders communication, socialization .It has no cure but there are treatments and therapies.
@jules22912 жыл бұрын
A mental health illness existing since birth , quite often undiagnosed , which at it's worse causes sensory issues, touch aversion , inability to communicate or understand feelings , panic attacks , etc . For less severe cases (asperger's / high functioning) it's just an inability to read other people's feelings or understand criticism plus symptoms resembling social anxiety ( this is just what I've seen before , symptoms may vary ) . It's incurable but with proper therapy usually manageable and the individual can live a more or less okay life .
@atrijadhar34422 жыл бұрын
In India talking and trying to solve a mental health crisis or an issue faced by a child to learn or grow is a Taboo.. even if people suggest that a child needs to have a therapist to understand what's really the issue, parents deny it, reject and say "my child does not need therapist he/she is not mad" and hide instead making all the problems invisible to others which puts the blame on the person most in need of therapy. They never understand going for therapy is not suggesting that someone is mad, it is just asking for help from a person who can help like we go to doctors for a physical problem. While it becomes completely impossible day by day to empathize and understand that child till they grow up and people start hating the person because they never were given a hint of the fact that they should understand and not hate because it was unintended and no one is to blame.. they never seek help regarding the most important problem denying the fact that an issue is there at all.. and this harms the child the most in adulthood when they cannot be handled anymore or cannot be helped at all because at that time they are in denial of what they are, and the reason being Taboo mentality learnt from parents... It is a difficult situation for all actually.. there will be a Time where there is no other options left and life an innocent person is over..

When you take a decision to become a parent. You as a parent is supposed to know and educate yourself about autism and other disabilities . That's your responsibility and as a parent you should accept and understand your child's struggles . Instead of naming the child "promblematic". There are diffrent kinda of children and its yr responsibility to accept them or else dont have kids .
