Mascot name: Robohana-kun Robo for robot (duh) and Hana for flower. The flower is likely a sakura but Robosaku or Robora doesnt quite have the same charm.

A few years ago the municipality of Xochimilco near Mexico City made a very cute pink axolotl mascot called Lupita and were campaigning to have her as a foreign entry to the mascot Grand Prix in Japan. It was really cute, they used to sell Lupita merch and the proceeds were given to research and conservation of axolotls as they are an endemic species of Xochimilco lake.

So far, GITR hasn't put out a video I didn't enjoy. Many of them have been about things I didn't know I wanted the origin story of... Which reminds me of a topic I have been wanting to see, and was brought up in this episode. Can we see a video explaining some of the language barriers in some anime. Like how izuku midoria somehow has Deku in the spelling. Or what's the deal with the main characters name in Death Note.

This is off topic but how come NHK America doesn't put on anime? They've produced a few very low-budget shows but give on some old anime title. Even one of the Korean channels in Chicago showed Voltron.

Two ideas: first is, the way that the unofficial are related to music, miming and theater, makes them look like modern-day jesters to me. They fulfill a similar social role. Second is, they remind me of the origins of Kabuki theater, as it started as impromptu social satire. So I have hopes to witness to the rise of a new art form! Thank you for the video!

Well, now the real estate agent wrestler Japanese mascot isn't the only one who's been in a wrestling ring; as CHIITAN HERSELF has gotten into the ring not too long ago with a couple of joshi puroresu wrestlers during a Japanese festival in Spain. Also, a very recent update on the lawsuit; the courts officially dropped it... so not it looks like the animes for both can move forward.

This video may not be directly related to anime but... it still kinda is. Indirectly. (wait, what did I just say?) Uhm, well... Basically, this was worth the wait. 😊 As for the name, I'd go simple: Robosuke-kun. Robo- because he's the Get in the Robot channel's mascot so reference, and "-suke" because the flower-looking thing on his forehead kinda looks like a samurai helmet's ornament. It's a common trope to end a samurai name in -suke. So Robosuke, robot samurai. And -kun, of course, to evoke his kawaii nature. I'm already a bit late this to the video but names need time to think of. Oh and... Hi, Cristal! I see you again. Behind the screen.
