😂 Nice point! I am a brownie and I was in the US on tourist visa and if you see this brownie behavior towards me I was so shocked. In Guyana where I live we are overwhelmed by foreigners; Indians, Chinese, Venezuelans and the list goes on. I am of Indian descendant as a result of colonialism. It's not just about the largest economy we need to consider the real fact for visa rejections, one of them is not respecting the visitor visas restrictions i.e. overstating and working without work authorization. I have seen so many Indians selling fruits, flowers and gift items illegally on the streets of Europe and Americas.

Passport mobility was one of the reasons my parents made their choices in the 1970s and 80s. I made choices in the 2000s that increased my options. My kids and I have three passports plus an overseas Indian citizenship. It would be great to see the Indian passport gain mobility - I have always been surprised by its low rankings over the years.

The reason why we Indians get refused visas is because so many of us lie and pretend to want to "visit", but in reality, many plan to stay illegally and work or make refugee claims. People talking a lot of negative things in the comment section about Indians being this or Indians being that 😅. I think the Indian Govt is ensuring that the passport stays weak. Otherwise, what's stopping the govt from flexing its economic power. The reason is, when its complicated to get a visa to travel abroad, it dissuades Indians from going abroad for tourist purpose and those people travel withing India and that money gets spent in India and boosts Indian economy, and when its complicated to move abroad for work or study, it helps reduce brain drain (but that also needs quality higher education and good employment opportunities to work in the country's favor; not going into whether that's the case or not).

If you want to go abroad for study or work, you need to apply for a visa regardless of your nationality. The visa free access that most US, UK passport holders get is only for tourism purposes and not for work and study purpose. I don't see it boosting Indian economy in any way, since India follows a reciprocal visa policy, it dissuades a lot of foreigners from travelling to India, hence affecting foreign tourism to India

I also agree with this. I am New Zealand citizen with 23 years in this country! New Zealand immigration is rejected my uncle's visa we already sponsor. Immigration officer rejected without asking any one question we already plan with our family reunion and show my kids to the family roots families more important. They only want to come for 2 weeks!!!! We are genuine sponsors! New Zealand immigration please find it out about the genuine people! 😢

My both canada and mexico got rejected recently 😅😮😢pretty devastating.For a fact i have all the documents and funds but i am being denied by canada stating like i dont have enough home connection.so far i have been born and brought up entirely in India and all my relatives are here.In mexico tourist visa they didn't give a reason 😢.Just simply waste of time,money and effort.There should be some strict laws to tackle this problem then only we Indians can have the liberty and proper respect.

Indian politicians irrespective of their party's always get their visas. Never heard any politician's visa being rejected. So is the case with senior burocrates and jurnos. If any govt wants to fix it can be done in 15 to 30 days.
