Yes! Clean “beauty” isn’t only about if it is safe to use, it should also be about how it effects the environment in production and when it goes down our sinks

I truly appreciate your non biased opinion. I try my best to avoid PEGs. I'd just prefer more clean products that are less harmful to the environment. Thank you!

This is an excellent environmental/humanist perspective that I think both science-based and “clean” beauty often fail to take into account. I currently have at least one product that contains ethyoxylates and I think it would probably be more environmentally harmful to eschew it now (it’s also from Avène which I assume is a fairly reputable company), however I am interested in contacting them and any other parent/companies of products containing ethyoxylates that I might use to see what kinds of steps they take to mitigate environmental carcinogen exposure. Thanks for the informative video!

I almost died from PEG. It's basically a plastic or polymer and should never go on or in the body.

Great, short, informative video. Really helps a newcomer to the makeup market understand what I'm buying. Lovely!

So… a “low” risk is still a risk.

Especially when your using it everyday on top of other PEG products and other poison etc we use and eat . It all adds up !

Thank you so much for the great video! I wanted to ask what you think about polyethylene in lip products such as lipstick. I am aware that there is no fear of it penetrating the skin because of the size of the molecule, but lip products we do eat a small amount of, and actually put small pieces of plastic into our body, the question of whether this has health consequences. Thank you!

I'm more concerned if PEGs are what's triggering my contact dermatitis. I just tried a "gentle" eye makeup remover containing Poloxamer 184 and now my eyelids are super itchy. I wish skin sensitization were a larger part of this conversation.

Little bit every day adds up … on top of the rest of the poison we ingest every day in our culture….
