We moved from Seattle 3 months ago and love it. We were able to buy an amazing house in the best area with a huge yard and close to everything we had in Seattle. Coffee shops, bakeries, brew pubs, dog parks and an incredible elementary school. Our new home would’ve cost us at least $2mil + in Seattle but we were able to get it here for a price we can actually afford. We’ve lived in Austin, Denver and Seattle and aren’t finding ourselves missing much at all, plus the airport is a $20 Uber ride not an $80 trip to SeaTac. Spokane is definitely on its way up and we are glad we got in when we did.

Welcome to Spokane! And thank you for this comment, I think it’ll speak to a lot of people in a similar situation

We are looking to relocate as well. School district is the key to where we want to be. Which city did you choose? Thank you.

Been watching your videos for a few months, and finally commenting since we may be close to moving to Spokane in about a month or two for job and family reasons. Wife and I are thankful for all of your videos, so keep it up!

I paid $3.65 a gallon for gas near Spokane yesterday. I paid over $5.00 last time I filled up in Seattle. Just saying…

I live just north of Rathdrum, and we have noticed a GIANT slow-down in housing development. The big thing we are seeing is the infrastructure trying to catch up with the COVID influx. Are you seeing that in the Spokane area as well?
@Haydnhalsted7 ай бұрын
I think your infrastructure is moving much faster than ours. Our only major infrastructure changes are the north/south freeway but that’s old news. We’ve had issues in the Latah Valley where they had to stop some new build communities so they can catch up on infrastructure in that area.

Why? What was it that you didn’t like about Spokane?
@YuenanCao4 ай бұрын
We moved to the area 3 years ago - we are surprised how rapidly Spokane has devolved into PDX Junior, or Seattle Light. Once Catholic Charities and a few others moved in the area just exploded with druggies.

I spent several years living in Spokane and enjoyed it. Access to outdoor recreation is exceptional. I also lived in Texas for several years. Although houses are less expensive in Texas on a month-to-month basis they are much more expensive considering property tax. On top of that utilities are not cheap. Water was actually my most expensive bill if you're in more of a desert region of Texas you can expect this to be a concern. Spokane is a city you must leave to fully appreciate. I would move back. Hope they get their act together downtown crime is a concern within the inner city. Not cool seeing all the open air drug use....

Too many people are moving here and ruining it. Especially Californians and their not so wonderful driving. Leave the LA shirts and hats at home, or just move back.

The irony. As someone who lives in Texas. I was there during the influx from Cali. Eli is making Austin the new California. Many California's have since bailed outta Texas due to the heat. I can totally understand where you're coming from. 😊

Im interested in learning more about the climate resilience of the area, if you could make a video on that one day that would be great. It seems attractive to me because of the hydroelectric power, abundant farmland nearby, being a midsize population, and its fairly trmperate climate. Some concerns are heatwaves and forest fires, and frankly, white nationalist hate groups that i knownare more active in North Idaho, but are a legitimate potential destabilizing element.
@Freedomfred9397 ай бұрын
Hate groups are everywhere, please move to seattle.
@DargoDog7 ай бұрын
We in the center have pushed the hard left to the far west and the hard right way north (its almost Canada's problem now). Both groups are pretty much the same, the only difference is whom they blame for their problems and the banner they fly. You'll find elements of both if you look hard enough, but they have both crawled under their respective stones.

@@moa3008 housing shortage, roads can't handle any more traffic, and we're losing our small town vibe. Been a huge influx of people in the last 20 years. We have a terrible drug and homeless problem, violent crime is getting bad here too.
