Well with that bag, theres a pocket in the back. And its hard to open the front, since you have to turn like a door handle and then lift.. the front is pretty secure.

@@vivianledonghae4eify They tend to frequent wealthy areas in london in the evening. It's usually done by someone (or group) on a moped or scooter. Started with mobile phones a few years ago. The areas they target are Knightsbridge, brompton road or Sloane street, Bond street, Kensington high street.

I got mugged and the guy didn’t know my bag was designer cuz he threw it out and a neighbor found my work ID in my purse and messaged me to come get it back. They don’t always know or care about designer. Desperate people are desperate people. I’m sure if it was a really recognizable brand like Louis Vuitton tho they would’ve sold it

My mom wears hers backwards as well with the logo facing her body. She has had her Gucci bag cut from her shoulder and stolen, pretty stupid thief to cut such an expensive bag. He didn’t get away either lol. My late father was a federal agent and shot the thief in the knee, he followed the blood trail and recovered the bag. D.C. police were on scene quickly and arrested the man.

I have heard the reason ppl wear their bags that way is to prevent pickpocketers to get in their bags. So the opening is face towards the owner so it would be difficult to open the bag without getting out caught

If I'm in the city it's for an event and want to dress up a little but I will go so far as to have a small canvas tote bag to carry my designer bag if I choose to walk anywhere. Also, I wear my work bags with the logo facing in because people get JUDGEY about spending. And if I spend money on something nice I will wear it all day.

I lived in London and there are so many pick pockets! They are GOOD at it too! You have to have inside pockets in a zipped up jacket or a very secure handbag because they’ll take your wallet without you realizing. I never used a bag in London. I had a big coat with deep inside pockets and avoided getting robbed.

My bags turn that way because of how the arms flips it when you hold it close to yourself. Same thing with my Birkin. It’s not to hide anything. It’s just how the bag is manipulated by the body when posture changes.

To be honest, I have a Gucci scarf I got as a gift, and I always hide the tag with the brand name, I feel uncomfortable having it in people's faces. In fact one of the reasons is I'm not rich and I feel like I'm pretending to be if the Gucci name is really visible.

When you actually have stuff worth stealing in your bag, you would do the most simple thing to prevent theft which is to hide the lock away from pickpockets' access. Also I notice I'm really clumsy specially when I'm getting in and out of elevators and doors so turning the bag around helps prevent scratches to the front.

I live in San Francisco and whenever I’m in a busy part of the city I ALWAYS turn my bag around to hide the logo. I purposefully wear a bag that is plain on the back so that it’s not obvious it’s reversed. Gotta stay safe!! :)

I hide the logo to look poorer when shopping swap meet when I shop so I get charged cheaper for looking poorer and I can get discounts haggling if I want to to save money because poor people get discounts out of charity from kind people and rich looking people get higher prices taken advantage of to poorer faster.
