Along with the commentary on the 3 plays that could have changed the game in Buffalo's favor.. don't lose sight of the fact that the BIlls put the ball on the ground 4 times and managed to recover all of them. They were living on the edge. There will be commentary about refs in Bills favor but the weird "false start" call that turned a late Chiefs drive to a 3rd and 15 instead of a 3rd and 5 was huge. I'd like to see a better look at the play because it certainly looked like Chiefs O line moved after the defender came across.

I thought the replay pretty clearly showed the Chiefs offensive lineman moved because the Bills player had already jumped across, but they only showed it once and then moved on. It definitely seemed like they got that call wrong

Bills facemask against the chiefs, not called -cost ? 3 points. Two false starts in the red zone from the bills, not called. No one is talking about those because the chiefs win. Your team, any team, should be better than the refs missed calls. If you want to make a first down, then make an obvious first down. If you have to go back and review the play over and over to find where the ball is, you’re going to depend on the refs to win you a game.

You have to remember also the greatness of the chiefs fcks with opponents minds and decisions because they know they have to be perfect, because 15 has great record in winning from any situation. On the spot play, the way I felt about was that since it’s considered such an automatic play, and in the past worked so well, and that the chiefs had stopped them on it early and it was not conclusive they didn’t get it. That 3rd down spot that leads to the 4th down sneak, looks on replay to be an incorrect spot. When you also look though at the what the ref is able to see the defender is blocking his view of the runners knee so the ref can't see whether it's actually down yet or not, but it does look to be angling towards the ground from his perspective so he might assume it's already down. If anything that should be on Buffalo for not challenging that 3rd down spot but they are in a tough position if they think they still need all their timeouts. I fully believe on the following 4th down sneak the ball did not get to the line. His back starts to get across where he needs, but he has the ball tucked into his chest. And from the front angle of Josh on the replay, Chris Jones unknowingly saves an overturn by standing in the way so we can't see the ball itself. Others have complained about the one official overturning the spot and saying he was short, but I heard someone say (maybe Shannon Sharpe, don't remember) that the side judge closest to the play is the one that is deferred to and the opposite guy is the one that marked Josh as getting it. The refs still conferred about it though before calling it on the field. I played football only up to freshman year of high school but I am a Husker fan so maybe that can count for something with this pod.

The clear sign was when Mahomes was getting decked a lot and they refused to throw screens and short passes like any other team would do to protect their QB. That game was lost by both McDermott and Joe Brady. McDermotts ends didn't maintain their rush lanes and Pat made them pay. Brady should have run more traditional run plays. The fade to Coleman(might be a bust). If you remember there was a sequence when they throw 3 straight times and go 3 and out. Then the chiefs go down and score. Joe Brady called the same game from the regular season. They also should've used the tight ends more. Also chasing points came back to bite them in the ass. If the bills move on from McDermott , they should seriously consider Brian Flores. Like you guys were saying in the playoffs, you gotta bring something new to the playoffs. I hope KOC actually learns from the playoffs and diversifies his play calling.

That’s right - they had one overhead replay that really showed his body crossed the line - as he was trying to back pedal - the ball never crossed the line .
