Programming a droid with fear and self preservation is actually a very sound strategy. A droid that can flee and escape can deliver intel and experience in addition to having time to recalculate strategies and tactics. Naturally, this would be most handy in low end droids, like the B-1.
@stuglife55143 жыл бұрын
Also it would result in less casualties as the droids would be less likely to walk into open fire, and would help reinforce to the droids that as individuals they are worthless but as a group they are strong. Unfortunately, no one on or relevant to Lothal had the death star plans. Leia came from Alderaan so her world could be threatened so she would reveal those plans. No matter how powerful, wealthy, beautiful or culturally significant a world is, no world is above imperial law. No one cares what happens to an outer rim world. The whole galaxy stops when a core world suffers. Especially one of the galactic republic's founding worlds.

If they captured 2000 clones... the grand army wouldn't care. There wouldn't be an attempt to repatriate clones. There wasn't even a care for how prisoners of war clones would be treated... on the flip side, any time the separatists tried to negotiate regarding taking prisoners of war, it ended up being a trap. Actually it wouldn't be that bad, the Umbarans didn't really violate the Geneva Convention at any time, I guess they would just put you in a maximum security prison, until the Republic captures the capital of Umbara, after that they would release you once the hostilities are over, and the Umbara campaign didn't last long so you won't even be a prisoner for long.

So because they really needed to get rid of them fools? Or is that not a answer?

The way a B1 should behave would be like the T800 from the original Terminator movie. But it would be too violent for Star Wars if a clone got his heart ripped out.

Why did this need an 8 minute video?? Droids cant surrender. That's like asking why doesn't my hair dryer stop when I put it down. If its got power its going to continue its function.
