The California public utilities commission who regulates these guys is primarily operated by a bunch of ex-utility executives. This is the classic case of the Fox in charge of the henhouse. People like to bag on Gavin Newsom but he has tried to bust this stranglehold with little success. These guys have a massive stranglehold on California and there's very little we can do about it. My house is not even 900 ft.² and my electric bill is over $200 per month.😢

If you look at your SDGE bill, youll see they have automatically put you on a plan! The plan is supposedly based on your usage, but it's LIE. When I changed it to STANDARD per usage, which was a hidden option until you expanded the selection, my bill went down!
