As a Japanese myself, we are calm when dealing or facing the natural disasters brought by a nature is because we are already used to disasters since we have been experiencing it a lot, and more commonly in earthquakes and tsunamis cause earthquakes or tsunamis happens usually after few days or weeks or maybe even a months again here in Japan, so we immediately do what our local officials told what to do in the face of disasters (Sorry for bad English, I hope you understand it)

look at most recent earthquakes. water arrives after four days. calm and orderly queues. people are thanking the army for letting them use facilities like gymnasiums. zero entitlement. they take keep calm and carry on to another level. love how they do things.

@@krisle305 It was a joke. Please pull the stick form your ass and learn to laugh. Life is much more enjoyable with a sense of humor. Edit: Oh, I think WWII was worse, as they were firebombed to hell, tens of thousands Japanese died, and they were nuked.... twice. Yes, they have had worse and endured it with grace.

Culture is the first thing that comes to the mind. Yes it is. But there is one thing that comes on top of culture is Teaming. Teaming is what made culture and culture is derived from that. I have learned from many that a good leader is someone that leads a team. Well only when the team is dormant and reactive to the leader. This is the philosophy of the west. But there is another thing to it. To be a good leader someone has to be a good teamer and to be a good teamer everybody has to be good teamers. Good teamers don't need managers to oversee things. Everyone in the team is ownership of its own role because everyone is dependent on everyone. This is what brought their philosophy to overcome disasters, social instability, political turmoil, financial issues.

Canada was like this for decades, people wait patiently and orderly and they wouldn't dare steal or loot but just help in a crisis, but sadly, today, our nation is becoming more and more corrupted with occult beliefs and drug use. Keep up the honourable example to your fellow man Japan, we respect you.

Thank you very much for explaining how the Japanese society works from a perspective of an American(?). As a Japanese person, I think Japan has issues and still has room for improvement. Things like “they don’t panic” “they don’t fight” doesn’t sound so special to me. I grew up seeing those situations. I believe there are things that Japan can learn from, say, America. I say this because I worry people might overestimate Japan and will be disappointed realizing they don’t like things in here after moving to Japan.

Yes, being calm produces good results for typical earthquakes. However, for tsunamis and fires, we should not be just "calm": rather we need to flee.

@bakaanikimachisu As far as being calm about it? No,freaking out when it happens,But not for the property or house or family,but only for the fear when its Happening.I'm not trying to sound all mighty here,I'm not,I'm trying to be as humble with my answers as I can,But I am trying to point out,I care for nothing but my lord God,nothing,because in this life,we all die,and there is no point to life at all but the lord.

If I love anything here at all,then I love sin filled things.your not suppose to love your house any how,its just a house.

oh was this recent? Cause I could have sworn this was about 70 years ago. Is there anything they are doing currently that is corrupt? Please come back with a better argument. What country are you from? I'm sure I can find something currently corrupt with your country. Japan has a clean slate since WWII, seriously grow up
@mystic8100612 жыл бұрын
Why are the Japanese so calm in the face of disaster? there not, i saw every single other video of the disaster and not one face was calm,they where all freaking out,there was looting,many arrests also. Do more reashearch on the event,there are videos of looting and many people feaking out so to say.
