This sort of building up scheme is very effective and reminds me of "retention practice” when training interpreters I've suffered.

Hello. This teaching method using a picture or short video from the internet is most efficient. I am a language teacher myself and I use this method a lot in class. We can adapt the complexity of the sentences according to the students' level. They can learn vocabulary, grammar and sentence structures in a natural way.

This is pure gold for Chinese learners! Thank you for putting the time and effort to create such a comprehensive and easy to follow method. It would be very helpful and useful to have a recording of the paragraph as a whole for practice as well. Thanks a zillion!!

Fantastic teaching method and video, I really love your videos and also your voice how you read....it sounds so beautiful ( sorry for saying that)☺️ when I try to speak or read,it still sounds a bit robotic 😞 but your reading is soo natural ( of course)😍good to hear you😊

This is soo useful. The speed of the sentences is great plus you can pause it and repeat it out loud after you.

Thanks a lot! This is another of your great videos 😍. Thank you very much for producing and sharing it! (I just missed the 'entire text' at the end to recap in my head the words again, you might like to include that in the next one 😉)

My goal is to read and write faster, and be able to read even kids books and magazine articles. I'm currently trying to work through the practical audio visual chinese series, is it a good idea? What would you recommend if I wish to build on the fluency of reading and writing chinese? Thank you!

"After the video was shared on Twitter, it has been viewed over 490,000 times" 视频被分享到推特后,已经观看超过49万次。 Both halves of the sentence are in the passive voice, but 被 only appears in the first half. I have recently learned that: « If the subject of the sentence cannot perform the action of the verb, then the passive voice is implied, and 被 is not required » A video cannot do any sharing or viewing, so 被 could probably be removed from the first half of the sentence, without any change in the meaning.

I think the literal translation for the second part would be "the views have already exceeded 490,000" , so there is no really passive voice in the Chinese version. In English, it sounds better in passive voice, though.

As a native speaker, I think the second half need 被 while the first half don't necessarily need 被. I don't know how to explain this, but the omitted subject of the main clause (the second half) can only be 人们 without 被, which is different from the one of the previous half (视频), so it's incorrect. However, we rarely use passive voice in main clauses, so we tend to say this as 视频(被)分享到推特后,观看量已经超过49万次
