This context is too overboard based on opinions . Maliki scholarship is more logical compare to others on this context and more in line to the Quran. Its common sense to heavily wash glasses or plates that have been used by animals if you want to use it again. Emphasised on dog maybe just because it was domesticated from wolves by human themselves ( and wolfs are not claimed to be najis) and used more by mankind so its common for them to go along with them. Nowdays people who own a dog have their own glasses and plates to use for the dogs. no need to be a muslim to do that. Its just common like that. (Not a big deal) . Why they assume things overly on this ?? Sincerity is what i think is greater than anything , which submits to Allah entirely. Goodeed is a goodeed right which is not expecting anything in return whether it is claimed to be 1 qirath 2 has been lost , just submit to Allah and be sincere to what we are doing and always pray for Allah Guidance in all. My husband kept dog in the house. He licks everyone and everywhere . My husband doesn’t pray at all but I pray regularly. I told him to keep the dog in the farm house but he doesn’t agree at all, I hope my prayers and my ibadah is accepted by Allah. Please pray that he keeps the dog in the farm house.

I was born a Muslim and only knew of the one book the holy Quran.Life being a Muslim was simple and enjoyable. Now for a short time relearning about my religion, I’m learning about Hadiths. Wow, I now understand why some people claim that Islam is a man made religion. I don’t think people know this, but,… the Quran is the only book to follow. Hadiths, all Hadiths are man made stories. Don’t read them, they will just complicate what Allah has beautifully made a Simple Truth/Religion to follow.

We have 6 pillars of belief. Hadith book is not one of them. But that does not mean we should reject them all. Hadith book is a compilation of testimones/hearsays as evidences. Shahih/Authenticity ≠ Truth, because human make mistakes even if they're not intentionally to do so. Most of Hadiths (especially the doubtful) is secondary for those who really want to advance their deen further, but not supposed to be forced upon everyone.

Messengers : Well, if you don't believe in prophets (moreover Muhammad PBUH), then how you claim to be muslim? Then you believe Qur'an written by Allah in form of book and dropped in the middle of desert? 3. Belief in previous scriptures : Is in the Qur'an 4. Believe in Angels : Lot of angel names mentioned in Qur'an, if you don't believe in their existence, then how you believe in then content of Qur'an again? 5. Believe in the day of resurrection : In the Qur'an 6. Believe in Qadr (Destiny) : Now to be fair, this one not mentioned in the Qur'an explicitly, so you can debate this.

The Zoroastrians hated dogs. Most likely this would be the source. They had very strict laws on dogs, what to do with them and most importantly, where to bury them. Or rather, where not to bury them and what would happen if one transgresses such statutes.

These hadiths are fabricated rooted in superstitions. Prophet Muhammad never said any of this madness. As rational as the Mufti is, I can't understand why he insists on defending these fabricated hadiths. It's sad that so many Muslims either don't read or believe in the Quran. They only give lip service to the Quran. Those hadiths are not needed. God gave Muslims and humanity all they need for their guidance and that is the Quran. When the prophet passed away, he completed his mission, which was delivering the Quran to humanity. There is no other moral guidance needed after the Quran. The Quran alone is sufficient.

@@kimohimo60 Qur'an story of the cave a dog is companion of christians and there's other hadith where prophet Muhammad pbuh shows kindness to animals brings forgiveness from Allah swt and he shows this by giving a thirsty dog water to drink from his leather sock. there are other hadith of the messenger pbuh explaining the good character of dogs. but prophet pbuh does seem to take less issues with cats.

Abu Huraira is well known for having prejudice against women and dogs. He produced some of the most offensive hadiths against women, as well as hadiths calling for the dogs to be killed. If we use the rigid criteria that so-called scholars such as Bukhary and Muslim claim to use in order to accept those who narrate hadith, Abu Huraira would be the first to fail the test. And his hadiths would be the first to belong to the lies. Aisha and Abu Huraira - the discord In the famous book "Taa’oueel Mukhtalaf Alhadith" by Ibn Qutaiba Al-Dinory, Aisha says to Abu Huraira: "You tell all these hadiths about the prophet, of which I never heard anything." He replied (as Bukhary reports): "You (Aisha) were too busy with your mirror and your makeup." She answered him: "You are it that was preoccupied with its belly and its hunger. Your hunger kept you busy, you ran after the Allied people, begged them for food and they tried to avoid you, and eventually you would come back and fall over in front of my door and people would think you were crazy and kick you. The following is reported about Abu Huraira: Abu Huraira came in the 7th year after from Yemen and converted to Islam. He stayed with the Prophet for less than three years. From this relatively short time he narrated 5374 hadiths (for comparison: Aischa, Abu Bakr or Omar narrated relatively few hadiths, although they had spent almost their entire life with Mohammed). Most of his hadiths are called "aahad," i.e. H. Hadiths that were only experienced and narrated by one person. In this case, that one person was Abu Hurairah himself. Some of the Prophet's Companions (sahaba) and Aisha, the Prophet's wife, accused him of being a liar for inventing lies about the Prophets just to improve his social status . Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, the second leading caliph, threatened Abu Hurairah with expulsion if he did not stop telling hadiths about Muhammad. He stopped until Omar was murdered and started again. He kept telling hadiths to please the rulers of the time, including the time in the “royal palace” of Mu’aawiyah in Syria. Abu Huraira informed his audience that he was telling them hadiths which, if they had been called Omar during his lifetime, would have earned him a few lashes. Abu Jaafar Al Iskafy mentioned that the Caliph Mu'aawiyah chose some of the people, including Abu Huraira, to spread fabricated stories and hadiths about the son-in-law of the Prophet Ali bin Abu Talib in order to demote him. Abu Huraira then lived in Mu’aawiyah’s royal palace and served the caliph, including for political purposes. He brought forth some of the hadiths to degrade and insult Ali ibn Abu Talib and to give him a lower status than Abu Bakr, Omar and Othman, just to please Mu’aawiyah. During the reign of Mu’aawiyah, with the help of Abu Huraira, many hadiths were invented which support the view that the imam or caliph is a person to be obeyed, just as one obeys God or the Messenger. This contradicts the law of the Koran that all matters should be dealt with democratically through deliberation. Many of these hadiths narrated from Abu Huraira contradict other hadiths. Abu Huraira's hadiths also contradict one another. And many hadiths, both from Abu Huraira and from others, contradict themselves with the Quran and / or the natural mind. Abu Hurairah narrated hadiths from Kaab Al Ahbar, a Jewish convert who tried to explain the Koran through the Jewish books. He produced some of the most heinous hadiths, which are in total contradiction with the Qur'an, derived from false stories from the Torah. The historians tell the story of Abu Huraira after he received the governorship of Bahrain. He got very rich in two years, so Omar called him back and said, “You, the enemy of God, you stole God's money. I made you an emir of Bahrain when you didn't even have a pair of shoes. Where did you get all that money from (40,000 dirhams)? ”History suggests that Omar took 10,000 dirhams from him. (Abu Huraira admitted only 20,000 dirhams.)

Abu Hanifa and Ibn Khaldoun saw a dangerous development in the tradition of Abu huairi. The founder of the Hanafi School of Law, Abu Hanifa (d. 767), tried to deal carefully and critically with the traditional material. As is well known, Abu Huraira (d. 678) narrated most of the hadiths in the Sunni region, to be precise 5374 hadiths in total. Of course, he again relies on hadiths in making this claim. According to Ibn Khaldoun, Abu Hanifa only narrated 17 hadiths that could possibly be considered "saheeh". Did Bukhary know better 100 years later when he classified several thousand ahadith as saheeh? Let's continue: Although Abu Huraira occupies a special position within the Sunni world, it is criticized by Abu Hanifa for his inexperienced tradition and passionate transmission of everything. The student of Abu Hanifa, al-Shaibani (d. 805) openly narrates this worrying sentence from his teacher: “Abu Huraira passed on everything possible without considering the content, but without knowledge of an-nasikh and al-mansukh to own!" Now tell me again who is wrong? Wahabism is Sheytan's whore, then you also know who his children and sons are.

The fact is that in this post- modern era we muslims have become extremely apologitic towards the western civilization. He's a maliki, there are opinions in the Malik school that allow owning of dogs, specially in the andalusian malikis. Hanafi school allows selling dogs for beneficial purpose, and pet dogs are generally not considered haram but makruh tahrimi.
