Even the "normal" golf games are hella weird. I remember playing Tiger Woods PGA games on the PSP and having to do these weird minigames where you have to brush your shoes, or sign autographs to decrease your stress level

Bro if you’ve never played any of the original Kirby games you’re missing out. They’re incredibly easy but so full of charm and being easy back then is like being difficult today. It was rare.

There are things that I like about ATHF Zombie Ninja Pro-Am like how Scott Van Pelt is one of the golf announcers and that the devs were legit fans of the show so they tried to conceive a loose plot that tied in a story based on some of their favorite villains and moments from the series, but the game itself isn't really that fun as you're waddling around as slow-ass Master Shake with the game having that traditional Adult Swim "made on a budget where they could only afford the McDonald's Value Meal" vibe most shows have where the quality is jank.

Just shows how much more creative video game developers back in the day were. Now everything is mundane, by the numbers shit. Golf wasn't even the only weird game. Look at Basketball and games like Dunk Heroes (3 hoops on top of each other), NBA Jam (all the easter egg characters, setting the basket on fire and so on) or Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball. Also you definitely forgot Zany Golf.

Can i recommend Desert Golfing? 10,000 procedurally generated side-scroll holes. I've been working on completing it for a couple years now.

I enjoy the hot shots golf games i dont think there Considered weird cause its supposed to be wacky and cartoonish and i actually own the outlaw golf games as well as the holiday expansions

Hot shots golf/Everybodys Golf On the ps2 and ps vita were surprisingly fun games. And I’m not even much of a golf person myself. But I love those games so much

I unironically loved Backbreakers in spite of its flaws. My roommates and I would play vengeance for hours, laughing at the absurdity of the hits. I ran a few solo seasons and you’re right, the gameplay was chaotic. I threw more interceptions in one season than Favre did in his entire career. But man, when I eventually did make a huge play it felt great!

Surprised to not see Links Extreme on here, when the company who made the Links games. Which were considered the pinnacle of golf games back in the day. But has skeletons and explosives.

I always wanted to play that ATHF game but never got to and honestly it sounds pretty disappointing. Wonder why they didn't just make a point and click game like Telltale did with Homestar Runner.
