For people who think that flat bits aren't as strong as normal hex bits, they probably aren't! But don't lose sight of the fact a multi tool is more of a "get you home" tool, rather than a big job tool. So the convenience of having one in your pocket or on your hip is invaluable! 👍

Everything is a tradeoff and depends on individual needs. I prefer full size bits over flat and don't mind less tools that I wouldn't use anyway. If I have a driver, knife, and pliers, I'm covered and everything else is a bonus--nice but not necessary. For others who don't need heavy use, the flat bits may be fine. De gustibus non est disputandum.

Flat bits and cross ones... Sooooo old , nobody want them enymore. The screws wear out too quickly.. Foget this old sh... Best regards from Germany

how can they be popular, its the first time I ever see these kind of bits. no power tool use them. they may be very niche products but will probably never see any popularity because of it.

lol, that you are unaware of a popular product doesn't invalidate that they are actually popular. As stated, kinda niche, but far, far from unknown. I've been using them since 2003...anyone who's used Leatherman tools has loved em. I've done everything with mine from building/fixing computers, to cleaning military firearms, to making improvised helicopter landing pads in northern Quebec. I've got the 42 bit kit that covers most of your general needs, from tuning a mountain bike to cleaning your nails. Hex, Torx...got al the basics. And they've got full hex bit ratchet adapters (and non-ratchet).
