I’m afraid of the dark and I’m 16, his right when he said that fear of the dark is not only fear of being in a darkness but also fear of unknown; however, the biggest reason why I fear the dark, being in a dark room but I can still see or being pitch black room, in my house or in a forest, I always feared the dark because I always felt like I’m not alone... that someone is with me or worse, watching me, even though it’s my house, even though I know that my parents are sleeping next room, even though I KNOW that I locked the doors from my home and that only me and my parents I’ll never stop having feeling (in a pitch black room or not) that someone is watching or at lease somewhat with me.

Lol exactly. My mind hallucinated on me and when I brought down my covers my mind made me see a frickin demon face with white pupils and a big smile, and i screamed for my parents while flailing my arms around throwing pillows in every direction. And when they got in my room I was crying and after that. I NEVER slept with my doors open.

Darkness is also referred to the void or the abyss because of the fact that anything and everything can happen in the dark. We still don't know everything in this world we don't understand how things work when it doesn't relate to our knowledge. Therefore creatures or unworldly things can happen Because we don't know about it.

I’m not afraid of the dark, I’ve always been scared of scary movies, I was always tormented by my parent and the dark. My brain was rewired somehow that every move in the dark or noise was some huge ass monster. As I was a child I always put my blanket over my head because if they didint see me they couldn’t hurt me.

At my Pa’s house, walking around the sheds full of machinery, trucks and cars at night is terrifying, my dad finds it uneasy and all my brothers feel the same as well, it’s the deadness, rusted machines that used to roar, now sitting cold and writhed in the same rusty sheds they never moved from when they where last put there. The dirt and stones crunching under your feet while the crickets chirp, terrifying stuff.
