Had this damn Power Harb, yes, a Power Harb, autoing me for 2k per auto. That's 4k/s. I could not get close to him before melting. His abilities were doing 8-12k. I had to blow my defensives just to get through the barrage of auto attacks, only for him to float me and TP away. Lol

yea that's normal, even when I play harb myself the best strat I've found is to just autoattack in shroud. It does the most dps. Lmao. But nerf ele "harb is too weak"

idk...maybe they're idiots...i mean he himself says 'i just pressed a button' so where is the skill to allow him to say 'trash' to anyone basically.... I really cannot stand this stupid power creep, it ruined the game in every mode. except maybe pve, at least for me... A few days ago i tried a pvp match, after a lot of time...and it was 3v3 season, which i hate. Using support Tempest would have been useless since 3v3 is just a dps spamfest but i don't play dps by years (I strongly hate catalyst, fresh air weaver and the scepter in general, all other ele builds have been nuked so by exclusion staff tempest is the only remaining build). So i tried anyway, inventing some random catalyst build on the spot, even if i hated it, sword/dagger, almost always forgot to use the damn F5 and...i destroyed them. It was just a matter of reaching 10 stacks of that empowerment shit, get +30% to ALL stats(!), which happens basically on its own just with a couple of combo or cc, and every button i pressed i was killing ppl and their attacks were like drop of rains on me...i played terribly and still won, easier than with my old weaver build when it was still good. And WVW power creep is like 10 times worse than in PVP. So balanced

As a side-point, as I realize your overall point isn't *directly* related to this, just want to mention that you almost certainly have just described a situation where you got matchmaker'd. The matchmaker algorithm probably thought you weren't spectacular and then you played something powerful and subsequently annihilated a bunch of noobs. I absolutely swamped the floor in PvP with core ele ... core ele, let that sink in, for about 7 games, and then the algorithm caught up to me and I got eaten by literally every other build I fought. Not even Catalyst was easy once the algorithm caught up with me and matched me with similarly skilled players. The game is not balanced - correct, but, although I understand you're a long-time ele player and aren't trying to dump on ele specifically, to point at ele and say that the overall unbalance is significantly related to the one class that has been over-nerfed repeatedly for years on end - ehhh seems a bit short sighted. Ele was good in PvP for a few months due to an over-buff, and otherwise was generally not great (aside from ... tempest, one build) for like ... 5 years or so... so ... I think a lot of the "ele is OP in pvp" rhetoric is dramatic tbh considering it's been mostly "decent" for so long while other classes got to thrive. People point on about "ohhhh the meta was 5 catalysts for awhile!!" yeah like a few months catalyst was very good, and during one AT people used 5 catas (whoop-dee-doo!) ele had a moment to shine for once, yet no one complained so hard when it was 4 scourges in every meta group, or any other class for that matter, and the difference is tedious to debate about. People really just hate ele, and I suspect it's rooted in envy. Everybody knows it's the hardest class and this is bothersome to those who can't master it. But aside from the occasional half-rant like I'm doing now, I've given up on trying to explain this to most people man, it's just not my battle any more, if this wasn't a video game and was instead IRL maybe I'd bother to prove it but I'm done spending time attempting to change minds when it's just a game anyway. tl;dr i think most people cope about ele tbh
