The sexism in k-12 education runs deep. On several occasions, I would be talking to a friend who’s a guy, and the teacher would scold him and not me. I would let the teacher know that I was the one talking and not him, and only on one occasion did they respect my answer and penalize me instead. One teacher said that she was speaking to my friend and that I should mind my business, and another actually admitted she judges boys more harshly for misbehaving.

Trust me as a dude that taught k-12 as a substitute in college for some extra cash they treat you bad as a teacher. Some are happy that your there but I’ve been cornered by administrators for thinking I was just some random creep that came into the school. Plus they didn’t give us badges so that might be it too but none of my female sub friends have ever had this happen to them.

My brother is a sub and previously was a teacher for elementary school, and luckily (to my knowledge) he has not been treated as a pervert; but I think he has the added legitimacy of a teaching credential.That being said, you shouldn't need to have a teaching credential to not be treated as some kind of pedophile.😵‍💫 Obviously keep kids safe and uphold boundaries but treating all men as predators isn't really doing that. Conversely, people at the park have let their kids walk right up to me. I am a complete stranger- it is irresponsible and dangerous to let your little babies walk up to random women. The parent could be as far as 10 yards away while their small child is 1 foot away from me.

I recently read a WSJ article by Aaron M. Renn discussing why men and teens are flocking to "Red Pill" influencers like Tate. He focuses on the issues in churches specifically, but many of his points are valid in other sectors of society. Renn says that men are not treated like they're valuable by themselves. Churches exclusively preach about masculinity as being self-sacrificing and servant leadership. While those are high virtues, it seems as though the paradigm of masculinity is such that men only are as valuable as the services they can provide. That necessarily leads to the logical conclusion that if a man is no longer able to provide, he is worth nothing. That a man removed from his enviroment, a man as himself and nothing else, is worthless. Renn goes on to say that paradigm has seeped into many aspects of church culture (again, focusing on churches but applicable elsewhere). Men's outreach is done nearly exclusively to bring in families. We are simply a means to an end. It's no wonder that men are checking out. "You don't want us, you just want what we can do for you." In desperation, men turn to the only alternative. The Red Pill people give a very shallow vision of masculinity, but it's better than self-destruction for an ungrateful society. "Real men drive BIG MANLY CARS and RAIL PUSS and SMOKE CIGARS" is perfomative machismo and ultimately a grift. Yet the online influencers know how to talk to men. Mixed in with the dudebro caricatures, there is often good advice. Health, fitness, and career success are aspirational goals that men can pursue for their own benefit. How to fix men you ask? Treat them like people in their own right, not just servants for women and children.

Agree completely on this topic. I feel that the only reason trully that these type of Fresh & Fit podcasts, even the Tate and Hasan personalities are very prolific is because it seems that the only way we as men on the online space can find venues to talk are on these types of platforms. I have had the most meaningful conversations when I made the choice to just venture out and have good friendships. I can't recommend enough that it is the best thing I ever did, and it all started with basic chit chat to then move onto topics that we really did care about to then a full fledged conversation about what we feel or what is going on in our minds. Sports and other stuff like that is great to find people in the same mindset but it can be anything were you feel confortable being yourself and not feeling like you have to put up a front or a mark of how you think you should behave. From then on, I have been also doing better at communicating and thinking in a broader sense; which has also helped me with my own separate path in finding a partner. Sure, it goes down to go outside and touch grass but it's more than that. Ultimately do it because you truly want to find new stuff out there and get to know a better you

I think there’s a big problem with young men not having an outlet to express their masculinity. When I was in my teens and 20s, I screwed like an animal bc I was in a lot of situations where I could demonstrate my manhood to girls that were totally divorced from my ability to earn an income and be an adult. I’m talking a large social circle, big group camping trips, road trips, etc. Nowadays, and I see it in my sisters generation, the kids are progressing thru life stages with very minimal time spent in person with peers. They’re essentially alone in the world, with online friends and with IRL friends who they rarely spend time with IRL.

The "friends being vulnerable" thing is....kind of true but not worded very good, i have friends that i knew for years but i could never get close with them because they never opened up or talked seriously about themselves i mean in the sense of about their life, their strugles and stuff that generaly troubles their minds. Ive noticed that with friends that are comfortable to share what they are going through with their lives(their ups and downs) ive been able to keep a more strong friendship. Dating apps were a god send to me and that's how I met my wife. I think too many young guys just dont use them properly and tend to be impatient. Dating is a slow burn, not a quick flare up. Sure its possible to hook up within a night but it's very rare. Still, you got good stuff here and talking smack about Fresh and Fit will always be entertaining.

I just finished my degree in Poli Sci/history and man did I notice my classes being female dominated. I took 1 philosophy class as a throwaway elective and I think I was... 1 of 3 men in a class of 40. Its crazy how much men are falling out on higher education. In terms of friendships I agree. When I was a kid friendship came naturally because we were in an environment conducive to making friends all the time. We didn't need to spill our feelings to each other - although admittedly we could use some of that occasionally. We had a basement with an Xbox and no requirement to spend 40+ hours a week on a job/chores and that was enough. Its not a lack of emotional vulnerability, its just a lack of access/structural support for friendship.

Hey brother, I just found your channel and have been watching all your posts. I will also say, once your married it is a two way street. Men and women must work together to better accommodate eachother. In the dating time, this isn't necessarily true. When my wife and I dated, we did interview eachother. Niether of us wanted to play games. Now that we are married, we are both growing towards eachother. I am learning how to communicate in her way, and she is learning mine. It's amazing and difficult, bit I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I agree up until a point. I think having an high EQ is important, but I still think men should be wary about how often they let the emotional floodgates run wild. Get too sappy with a woman and she will be quick to label you as emotional and not take you as seriously. This doesn’t mean don’t show emotion, it just means be in control of your emotions and be wary of how you exhibit them.

It’s definitely a big mistake to be crying and being a mega simp around your girl all the time, but it’s also a big mistake to never show a shred of emotion. This is a hilarious video. I’ve been just a regular dude for years and have had really good luck with women. All that alpha stuff doesn’t work in the long run. Yeah, well the advice that men receive online isn't great. But let's at least feel grateful it's not as bad as the advice women receive online. I call it the Mantis principle. Yeah, in general there's a stong dislike for men in our society, but at least if someone likes me I know they like me for me. Women don't have this luxury. I think the most important thing is actually talking to women, I would consider myself to be an above average man on the dating market, I go to the gym regularly, practice basic hygiene, a math major with good grades, extremely passionate about physics, have a job, average looking, 6ft tall, but I don't talk to women that often because I'm introverted and also I don't have a reason to put myself out there because I have a girlfriend. Even if I didn't, there would be pretty much no way for me to get one because women do not go out of their way to talk to me. Part of the reason my girlfriend told me she likes me is because other women do not talk to me. So no matter how good you think you are, if you don't put yourself out there you wont get a girlfriend.
