My new AEG dishwasher washer won’t dry properly. Useless. Wish I had bought the Bosch series 8. I agree they should dry them no matter what. I use rinse aid and a fat lot of good that was.

I know right! I used to live in an apartment with a GE dishwasher that had simple options like Normal, Light, and Heavy cycles, along with Heat Boost and Dry - that’s all it needed. No fancy cascade platinum or rinse aid required, and it worked flawlessly. But then, we moved into our new house and decided to get an LG dishwasher with all these ridiculous sensors and whatnot. Guess what? Total disappointment. It has already needed repair seven times - what a shame
@johnmartin71586 ай бұрын
@@Akshay-08 Actually to update you, I told department store to pick that useless AEG dishwasher up. After much to and fro and procrastination from them they did. Gotta refund and I purchased the Bosch series 8. And I’ve found it a fantastic machine. Dishes come out real hot and bone dry. Absolutely no problem whatsoever. Sorry about your LG dishwasher. Can you get the retail store to pick it up and get reimbursed. Cheers.

When I purchased this dishwasher I expected it to clean and Dry the dishes like all the other dishwashers I have had. If the goal is to make them so energy efficient that they no longer dry the dishwasher I don’t want one that won’t dry the dishes
@johnmartin71584 ай бұрын
@@kathyfann Good point. I can tolerate a slight spec of left over, but not really, lol, but for dishes to come out damp and many dripping is totally out of the question. I’m extremely happy with my Bosch, but I’m quite partial to the very high end Miele as well.

Thx for the video. I find many modern appliances loaded with features no one wants or uses. My last dishwasher just washed dishes and dry them clean. Nothing but soap and water. This unit has all kinds of settings and doesn't dry. SMH. Now I got to add a rinse aide. Really. I think there is a fortune to be made by the company that is willing to make simple reliable appliances that work.
@Donsappliances Жыл бұрын
Although it is an extra step, Rinse Aid should last a month or two. You could also use white vinegar as an alternative; it will help the water spread and run off of dishes.
@EfieldHfield_377 Жыл бұрын
@@Donsappliances Thanks so much. I will try the vinegar route first - I would prefer not to drink rain-X. When you say last a month, do you mean a bottle of rinse aide will last a month or the amount you add to the rinse aid loading container will last a month.
@Donsappliances Жыл бұрын
@@EfieldHfield_377 The amount of rinse aid you put into the rinse aid slot will last a month! A full bottle should last you a year or more.

It's like a manufacturer scam. EPA made is efficient, which mean no heat = no drying. That we have to find a video on how to get dry dishes is crap. I've tried all the tips; nothing.

I hate these new effing dishwashers and washers and dryers. I have the LG thin Q dishwasher with the “European drying” system. I wish I had never bought it. Nothing EVER comes out dry and I don’t want to add extra chemicals like the “rinse aid” that coats your dishes and is highly toxic. The earlier dishwashers did the damn job - they cleaned and dried them. So sick of this environmental green crap that’s crammed down everyone’s throats with shitty products that replace products that actually worked.

Well. I didn't believe it but it worked. Apparently, it has something to do with the sensors not reading properly or something. My dishwasher is brand new and was soggy AF. I watched this video. I read the comments saying it was BS. I found another video saying the same thing. I filled up the jet dry tray. I ran a cycle. My dishes are dry now.

Is it critical to put a soap pod in the dispenser? I just throw the pods in the dishwasher loosely and my dishes look fine.

It's best to put them in the dispenser so they don't dissolve before the wash cycle begins. Unless your dishwasher manual says otherwise!

Hi thanks for the video I noticed the little rubber ring that goes around the plug where rinse aid goes has lost it's shape. Could this be causing dishes not to dry because there's not a tight seal?

Hi, how do you use a rinse aid when your dishwasher does not have a rinse dispenser and you use liquid detergent instead of the 3-in-1 pods because of the higher cost?

My dishwasher isn't broken, just lacks motivation. It makes a lot of noise, but a night out seems to make the squeaking stop. Although dishwashers have many cycles, the sales rep never warned me about the menstrual cycle. I really need to reach out to the manufacturer about that one. It has a lot of miles on it. But in the end, it's been extremely dependable. I thought about trading it in on a newer model. But I've become accustomed to all the little dings and imperfections. Also it doesn't take much to get it going. I've heard those newer models are high maintenance, demanding and very sensitive. I think I'll keep what I have, even if it does spit and sputter all over the place.
