Osimhen has a 71M release clause now, we can shift Jesus to RW for rest of season as cover for Saka. We would have to overpay by £40M or so for a top winger in January, none of their clubs are willing to sell mid season when they cannot get a good enough replacement. The only type of winger that we should get is an LW, that can cover RW to a decent level. No good RW will come and be backup for Saka in the long run, it would just be another stop gap player. People are quoting Semenyo. They will do what Brighton did to us when we went in for Caicedo.

If the clubs response to losing Saka is to bring back a player that was deemed surplus to requirements at the beginning of the season then we are done. That would show a real lack of ambition and show us fans that Arteta/The board think our chances of winning the league are over. I should point out that the manager had such little faith in Vieira at the start of the season that he went out and signed Stirling who he hasn’t started in the Premier League yet. Vieira is not good enough for Arsenal. Face it, he is not a winger. Plus, Arteta made compounded mistakes by doubling and tripping down on sidelining and abusing ballers like Smith-Rowe, Reiss Nelson, and Nketiah. Now the team has no No.10, No.9, and no other right-winger. That is in addition to not playing with a left-back and traditional center-forward for the last three seasons.
