There really is no rhyme or reason why artists choose the songs they do. I have a song with ASAP Ferg and the beat I sent him was a beat I made when drunk in like 20 minutes. Basically the secret is to get drunk with a 20 minute time limit lol. I’m used to spending much longer on a beat. I don’t make straight rap beats anymore though because I find them boring to make because you’re basically trying to guess what a rapper would like instead of just making a song.
