As if that's hard to do. Sometimes he has a Dutch directness to his arguments, but most often it's very safe. That's thanks to people who clip things out of context, so he has to police himself. But I think most people are just normal people. I couldn't do what he does for a long time. I'd be depressed and agitated after reacting to another "the world is burning" video.

The Dude lives a stress-free, simple life where his priorities are drinking with his friends, smoking weed and bowling. Asmongold is a persona, an outlier of someone who got lucky and took the shot. His success cannot be replicated and one should not strive to be as him. Furthermore, the "gurus" you're mentioning in the video are not actual role models, they are grifters who prey on lovely and vulnerable men. They are fake and as such, should be deemed as pretenders. I cannot definitely say who should be as a role model for a modern man, but generally speaking, taking care of yourself, both physically and mentally should be a priority.

Asmon is way too contrarian for me. If he reacts to something that is critical to female nature, for example, he spends so much time saying "well men do that too" It gets very annoying as it detracts from the thing he's reacting to. A recent example from a couple days ago was the question about -why modern games are so garbage- Who killed masculinity in videogames?. It got to the point I watched the original video rather than listen to him pontificating.

The problem is, people tend to follow the bad trait of these "anti-hero" Instead of understanding the meaning behind it. Look at Asmongold for example. You do realize he was raised by a good rich and intellectual dad, currently owning 4 companies himself, super successful at what he is good at right? Well, i bet 100% people won't look at these good qualities of him, instead people will following the self destructive habit of him such as binging unhealthy food, rarely take a shower, low hygiene room, etc. Which basically will do you harm than good. He has everything, it's ok if he is self-destruct like that. There is nothing he trying to achieve anymore.

According to the dad , he raised asmongold poor. He caught wild animals for food. Foxes, squirrels,etc its pretty obvious asmongold didn't grow up with a silver spoon in his mouth. His father has been on the stream. The old guy is rough, swears a lot, rambly. That's his parents house also. A basic one family. not a privileged background. No sign of it.

From what I understand his parents divorced in his teenage years. There is no footage of his dad from his early pre fame WoW days, he was already gone. He was raised by his mom who was always broke and taught him most of his budget ways.

You know there is a similar case in Japan few decades ago when an Anime called Neon Genesis Evangelion was aired on tv, the producer originally trying to gave a message to it's audiences about responsibility and the danger of escapism. But kids that watching them in japan idolizing escapism, this bad value, instead. the real message fly above their head. Creating a boom of cowardiness and self-isolating in youngster back then (millenials). Many parents are suing the studio, because most kids back then literally said they got inspired by the main character, and star acting like him, coward and shy. This point of me about asmongold is basically like this. People who idolizing him tend to mirroring his bad behavior, such as take less shower, eating fast food, in front of computer all day, while they didn't realize Asmo has everything, that's why he don't need to be a poser anymore, while people will just acting like rotting themselves out, to look like him

He also knows that you deal with arguments and not people - so, that's why he can comment on Trump or Pierce Morgan without giving the impression that he's a fan or a fanatic. The second bit is to not deal with topics you know very little about. And you can tell that Asmongold has opinions .... everyone has. But while I can write this comment without much consequences, his is viewed by thousands. Even if your gut feeling tells you something is not right with a statement or way of thinking - it's best to not deal with it. Unless you decide to read up on it and then dismantle everything Hasan has ever said. With that being said, we get to the third part: if you're that invested to prove Hasan wrong - who is leading your life? What will you do after you've shown the errors in his arguments? At the end of the day, they are generating income while we're writing comments and consuming. I think Hasan is the polar opposite of Tate, but they both run a grift, they both abuse women, and they're both selling you a view while practicing the exact opposite. And Asmongold? At best he's the regular people's thoughts unspoken, and at worst he gets into a depressive state.

Asmongold; not the hero we need, or even really deserved but what I suppose we just have to make do with. I would say taking the sodium fluoride out of the drinking water would be a tremendous help in preventing bones and teeth from rotting due to the "Bone and Dental Fluorosis" that's been medically proven to cause.

True. But what most miss is the fact that Asmon himself isn't fabricated, he already existed in the space and was just propped up as controlled opposition. If it wasn't him there would probably be someone else but for him to be chosen means he fit the cogs the most.

For instance, his house was probably in his mother's name and after her passing it probably was put to someone else's name instead o Asmon's for various reasons. My point here is that, could there be something here? Yes. Does anything you mention indicate that? Not at all.

And you'd know that if you actually had some degree of formal and philosophical logic. Of course, it's always easier to dismiss dissidents as "sheep" when they don't agree with you. And with that, I now know more about you than you do about me which allows me an extra layer confidence in stating about your lacking.

Secret is to care about what real world data-evidence people hold (usually little). Or, care about certain people say or do. Those people should excel in a certain area/field. Or demonstrated general competence over time. I wish I had learned sooner in life that at least a majority of people are not worth listening to, or necessarily caring about what they have to say. Broken clock may be right twice in one day. But, that doesn't override the general rule.

I really think this perfectly sums up why I love Asmongold so much. I don't strive to be like him in any way, but I really resonate with the things he says because I've lived it. I wasn't popular in school and I didn't care what other people were doing. I cared about my friends and what made me happy, and that was it, and that still holds true to this day.

Well, he definitely seems content. At least he HAS a house, and plenty of money to go with it. Doesn't have to work a normie job, either. He found himself a comfort zone and he's maintaining it. If he's happy with it, good for him. He's the only one who can ultimately make the determination on whether or not he's living a good life. It's also worth pointing out that the dude has seen his share of trauma and suffering, self-inflicted or not. So it's not like he was a trust fund baby or something.

@3ndeavor I see where your reasoning is coming from, but the fact that Asmon Gold tells others not to live like him takes all the subjectivity out of it. He knows it's far from ideal. Not to mention the fact that living with rodents (that spread disease) isn't very subjective when 99% of the population wouldn't want to live like that!

If there's one quality of Asmon that I think is definitely worthy of emulation it's the ability to own your bullshit. You don't justify it or attempt to defend yourself or make excuses or whatever. I remember a clip of his where he was accused of favoritism towards his Vtuber "daughter" and he simply responded with essentially "Yes, I am playing favorites and I don't care, I do what I want."

I've seen him grow from a 3K youtuber to being a massive streamer. I knew back then that i had found someone really interesting. I'd never want to be like him (health is wealth), but i've always appreciated his ability to just do what he wants. But you have to call it for what it is, he is an exception to the rule. Most people like him would live miserable lives and the world would eventually force them to no longer be able to just do what they want.

The only thing i disagree on is that u said that Batman is an Antihero. He is not. Batman literally does everything by the book. His no kill rule literally is the embodiment of that. i share a lot of qualities and flaws with him. indeed, though it is one of the rare things it shames me to admit, i have the same mental illness that made us think rotting out our teeth with soda was a good idea, or at least not as terrible as it ended up being. luckily i only need about 10k euros for mine though, heh... well perhaps it's a little different because i abhor the pain of going to the dentist as well, i've had partial work done already, but no the core seems to be the same - laziness and putting low value on appearance and high value on cheap sugar.
