Agree on having to keep Watkins over Duran. Watkins gives so much more than just goals. Duran a super talent but the fact he's even agreed to go to Saudi speaks volumes.

People questioning Unai selling Duran. He sees him everyday and said the other night that he tried his best with him but he has his own ideas. He’s clearly not a team player and don’t care about Villa. Like Unai hasn’t thought long and hard about this

I watched Ollie from the Doug Ellis and the amount of battering and pushes and shoves and kicks he gets from bigger centre halves that’s hard to deal with I’ve done it semi level I tdon’t half take it out of you.snd he never stops.

Villa deserve 10 out of 10 for scouting and finding Duran inthe first place. Buy him £15m (?) get some super moments and iconic goals, move him on at a massive profit. FABULOUS business. Watkins a good servant with excellent record. Yes missed too many for the fans liking but he puts himself in that position in the first place. Probably one of the most hard Working honest players in the Premiership. If he goes in the Summer it will be that our management team have control of the situation.

Definitely agree on keeping Watkins over Duran. After the summer, his flirting with West Ham, a new contract a few months ago, and already wanting to leave, there would always be noise around him. Every transfer window it would come up, and it must be a massive distraction in the dressing room. Add to that the strops on the pitch, and questions over his attitude, he was the one that had to go. A very talented player with his whole career ahead of him, but he's got a lot of growing up to do, and I don't think we can afford to wait for him to do that. He gave us some incredible memories, but in the position that we're in we can't afford to have a "bit of a nightmare" in the dressing room (to quote John Mcginn). Take the money, back Watkins as we always do, and move on.

McGinn needs to go RW play Garcia RB as he will need the cover from SJM against Ait-Nouri and move Bogarde to DMC. Bogarde with Bailey\Malen in front of him against their main attacking outlet worries me

Spot on frankie way too much noise around Duran i would imagine he's a real destabilising influence around the club goodbye and good luck .the arsenal Watkins issue really grinds my gears apparently it was Watkins agent that leaked the bid hope they spend the Duran money wisely so far I have not been impressed with monchi so far .keep up the good work 👏

He was never going to get the chance to start regularly at Villa so he moved on for the money 🤑

I hate that we have to sell our players. Hopefully we use some of that Duran money to lock Kamara in for a few more years. Probably a good move to sell him - he doesn’t seem to have the brains to be an Emery player. Everyone is saying that’s the end of his career now - I totally disagree - he’s still practically a kid, year or two out of the limelight, in a country where he’ll have to behave himself might do him some good. Plus he’ll be with Ronaldo - maybe Duran will develop a better work ethic. He’ll be playing for Real Madrid by 2026/2027 season.

Watkins finishing this season has been poor from the start. Hes 30 this year and his value will only go down and down. Duran is just 21 and our top scorer. Who we should sell was a no-brainer and weve sold the wrong one. Duran is not a bad influence,he JUST WANTED TO PLAY. BADLY. Bad decision.

NO WAY SOULD WE HAVE SOLD DURAN,we should have shifted Watkins I don’t trust Watkins . Watkins would have still been on the bench is Duran hadn’t been falsely sent off. Uni should have stuck him back in .

Mate Watkins is 29, he’s not the future he’s at peak value now and we ain’t getting 60m for him again. Duran is the future we should have sold Watkins

Duran wanted to move, even if he didn’t go he would have gone in the summer. The money is too good to turn down for him and his family
