Men are stoic and deal with the problems themselves... You need other men and communities of men starting from a young age... Scouts for example before woman joined and we were forced to do less survival skills to cater to said woman.... Reason why it was originally called, "Boy Scouts." I find the only place left that have proper boy community now days is MMA. The attitude there is guys who are high performers who want to raise other guys to be high performers... Even the people who do the sport as a hobby, they have a very big life outside of it and acts as a support for guys do big things. THIS IS IMPORTANT... Therapy and talking about feelings makes guys worse.... If it has to be therapy at least get other guys who are conservative to do it... Probably turn out like Anger Management the movie... boys always falling behind girls in schools. For them it is not interesting to be universal average, with B grade in all subject and precise textbook memorising. Boys are A++++ in some areas (any! STEM or sport, music or social sciences, no matter) and deep behind in other - ooops, in school stats it means they are all 3rd grade, they hardly can get "satisfactory" in many subjects, shame on them. And then all this comes to real life, where they quick overtake all girls because no one needs averages, success comes only to firsts. Even if they can not achieve anything in many other directions.

I am so annoyed with myself. For years I believed what the media was saying about Pauline so I didn't vote for One Nation. What a fool I was. Pauline almost always talks sense about issues Australians are facing. She's often shouted down & vilified by people who don't or won't see what is really going on in this country. There are far too many politicians who toe the line & won't touch some of the issues Pauline tries to talk about. Things like the trans delusion, aboriginal affairs rorts & propaganda, racism, immigration, & now the inequality men are facing when it comes to our children. She's a clear eyed fighter for us all & over the years I've really come to like her. She's quite a tough lady & it upsets me to see her being treated with disrespect by other parliamentarians & now unfairly by the courts. She deserves better than that. I don't know that we need a 'Minister For Men' though. I think if the systems already in place were made fairer & more efficient we'd all be better off. Men are far better off having a few good mates to talk to than a psych. Men's sheds, local sports clubs, hobbies & things like that should be encouraged more so blokes can talk to other men. The internet alone has caused a decline in social interests & interactions. When we talk to each other, problems that seemed insurmountable often don't look so daunting. I often ask the blokes I know if they're doing okay. In my work I've attended many suicides & it's usually just a sad & unnecessary waste. Talk to each other boys. We're all in pretty much the same boat.

Fun fact, Nov 19th was International Mens Day (it is not officially gazetted unlike the Int Womens Day). I have not heard of one sponsored event, breakfast, lunch or acknowledgement in any of the main stream press. Think how the ABC wets its pants every year for Int Womens Day, we hear about it for days. If this country cared about men we would see a much better response to many of the real issues faced. Imagine if women died at 10x the rate of men on anything, we would have royal commissions. We hear endlessly about the gender pay gap but we rarely hear about the male death aging gap (men on average die 9 years younger). Look at the ratios for industrial accidents and death. Look at the ratios of fathers with custody. Try and find a homeless shelter for men. Look at the decline of admissions to university. In the 1960s, governments turned themselves inside out because the ratio of women to men in uni's was so poor. The ratio is now further in the other direction - crickets! The gap between rhetoric and action here is startling.

We need to reevaluate the premise that all masculinity is toxic. We have, for far too long told our boys and young men that acting in the way that their hormones direct them is wrong. We need to accept the fact that the sexes are psychologically different, even if the differences are marginal they do exist and expecting young men and boys to constantly act in a way that is contrary to their nature is what is behind much of male depression.
