Before going to the NYC location, I had been to the Queens location before and I liked the Queens location more. The differences are subtle like the side dishes offered and the ability to order yogurt soju instead of the upcharged cocktails they offer at the NYC location. The 24/7 Korean supermarket across the street in the Queens one is also a plus because we usually go in there and get desserts from the freezer section lol.

I don't know if it's just the case with this restaurant and the ones i've been to in London, but Korean BBQ is super expensive. For the amount you pay it's not even high end. One of the places i went to in Seoul, 4 types of meat, rice, pork stew, dips, wraps and soju came to £16 altogether for 2 people. I've lost my love for Korean BBQ in London cus it's just not worth the price

Yikes, consistency? The other day I shelled out $100 for a large combo (brisket, short rib, and another choice). Only the brisket was above average, every piece of short rib was tough and had inedible muscle in the middle and the 3rd choice, which was marinated short rib for us, was at least tender but lacked any of that great short rib beef flavor. The free egg was better than the short rib...

That's what my friends are thought too. $40 per person and it's not all you can eat? But when we got there and ate, what we ordered was more than enough for all of us (and we're the type of people to get our money's worth at all you can eat places), and the quality of the meat is much better than your typical AYCE joints for kbbq.

Funky name. Didn't Baekjeong 백정 refer to outcasts, slaves, gypsies, prostitutes in traditional Korean social strata? Heard every town and district had rolls that detailed who was from the Baekjeong class, so you could not hide your status and marry into an unsuspecting family household. Around the WW2 liberation, the records were burned or destroyed so now you don't truly know what families are untouchables.
