I am beyond thankful for your channel. Wish I would of found it earlier. I swear I'm traumatized by these devil bugs. When I go out shopping I find myself looking for them in the stores. I notice everytime someone throws out a mattress or furniture. There has to be an epidemic going on where I live. Just Noone wants to talk about it. I need my peace of mind back. I had a Exterminator show up yesterday DRUNK! crashed his truck right into my well house (almost bursted the water line to 4 homes) then he finally got out and did the estimate at my duplexes i own. He only offered heat treatment. His company (he is the owners son) doesn't even offer any spray for bb. He said I would have to tear down party wall between the duplex before he would come out and do heat and he still couldn't guarantee any of the work he did and it would be 2600.00. He wanted an answer. I told him his 60$ estimate was fucking free for crashing into my well. Then doing research I found you! Thank you buddy! PS this was GO FORTH most expensive company in town. I just assumed they were the best. I already have $ huge termite accounts with them. UGH!!

Thank you so much! I just phoned the bedbug specialists who treated our bedrooms yesterday. They did use a spray that left residuals on the mattress, so they told me to take off the encasements. I don’t want to do things that interfere with the treatment!

Hi Jason, I Sprayed my Closet and my bedroom and my whole bed, with Crossfire, approximately a week ago. I plan to do a second round Crossfire in 1\2 to 3 weeks. The next time I will be sparying in my living room. It is an open floor plan though. No wall between the kitchen, dinning and livingroom. I fortunately do not have any sofas or chairs yet. But, I am concerned about how to spray correctly around that area. I was so upset during the first round. That I forgot it was possible for the BB's to be in the entry way bathroom and living/dinning/kitchen areas. Now I do and did keep in mind that any spraying around food areas and the like is strictly a lable no no! So, please if you would and could advise me on this specifically moving forward. (Background on my building) The building I just moved into is brand newish. Why do I say newish. Because, it was sitting empty and finished between 7 to 9 months. However, there had been several different people who were in and out of this place in those many months. So, I realized that one or more of the people probably brought them into the place. Now when I signed my lease. Because of a newish rental Addendum that has been passed in 2017 in California. Concerning a renters right to have their home professionally inspected before move in. If I chose to and I would have. However, I was never afforded the opportunity. Because, the nonprofit .org agency "ABODE". These people, I trusted! The manager of the Apartment Complex wasn't even present with us during my lease signing. As I found out later that he was supposed to be. Suffice it to say. I put under duress and hustled through the whole thing! I realize now that I missed Red Flags... These "professionals" let me move in to a place with BB's... If I had not found your channel Jason and your guidance throughout this very scary situation, that has had my PTSD, ragging! I don't think that I would be as strong as I am now! I am a woman and I kicked butt on these nasty blood sucking beasts. I am not completely moved in yet. But, I will be before I spray again. I will also need to spray in my car. Which if I may ask, just to be sure. How exactly do I do this? I think I know "but" I really want to be 100% sure going forward. The landlord sent a guy out and before I became educated on the varmints. I was told that there was going to be a treatment with heat. This "Salesman", this is actually what I found out after. Anyway, this jerk freighted me more the the pests did... So, I decided to tell the manager that if he let had heat treatment process. It would not only in fact spead the BB's. It would also ruin most of my things in the apartment! A week later I heard that the inspection was said to have found nothing no BB's whatsoever! Now not only are certain peoples questioning believing me. Even after the pics and Test Traps even the bites! I am thinking a couple of things. Okay F it I know that I am not crazy! F it I will handle this my damm self... So, that is precisely what I have been doing. It has been one of the worst nightmares I have ever had to deal with in my lifetime. But, this place, it's my forever home. I chose it, I wrote about it, I visualized it, I literally manifested it into being. So it may seem strange. But, I am actually very relieved that I got to do the exterminating. Why because, at least I know that it was handled exactly the way it was supposed to be. Done right and I didn't have to deal with an idiot who would have really mucked it all up. Not only that, none of the management have said anything about it. Oh, I forgot to mention that I am in the process of getting security cameras, so that I can catch the manager/s who have been coming in and out of my place so far 10 plus times without my permission, when I have been gone. Yesss, I am positive. I set up human traps and every time they have proven me right! Well, i want to close with a giant Thank You!!!!! Your the best. Stay Blessed and enjoy the family!

But let's say you never had bedbugs, and you encase your mattress, and THEN you get bedbugs, they won't be able to live in your mattress and in the seams of the mattress...so its ONE LESS THING to worry about. Then you can focus on the other areas you mentioned, bed, bed legs, night stands, etc.

That's why I bought one...got a new mattress and bedframe for my daughter and an encasement for the new mattress to keep it clean... I plan to spray the encasement, bedframe, parameter around bed, and all the baseboard/outlets.

Also, say you didn’t use a mattress encasement. you cover up the bed with sheets and mattress cover, bed bugs wouldn’t really touch the mattress much?

They love the mattress itself. They will easily crawl to the opening of the fitted sheet and get to the mattress edges. Some mattresses have holes where the handle is as well. They will crawl in there. These things will crawl into places no other bugs can. They love tight spaces that shield them from the daylight during the day. I have seen them live between the bottom of the bed leg and the carpet. A spot that has major weight pressure on it. These things are straight from the devil himself.

It depends on your interpretation of the label. Some won’t treat because it’s a zip up sheet and the label clearly states that no bed clothes can be treated at all. Also some encasements are water resistant which can cause poor adhesion of the pesticides

Because most encasements are stain and water proof which can cause issues with the absorption of pesticides and they can flake off once dried
