So they took a half crippled, dementia ridden, dub-average politician and made him president. To punctuate the point, they wouldn’t let him come out of his basements for about 95% of the campaign season, had almost zero visible support. When he did come out, he didn’t know where he was and couldn’t express a coherent thought. But they made him president anyhow. I’m sure Bernie understood that message.

What do you want him to do, run as an independent? Republicans would get a guaranteed win. If both Biden and Bernie are on the ballot, you know their voters are going to be split. Honestly if the race was Trump vs. Biden vs. Bernie all on the ballots, it would ACTUALLY take a rigged election for either Biden or Bernie to win. And to say “oh well Biden’s name just wouldn’t be on the ballot” is unreasonable, as you said it yourself that Bernie’s own screwed him twice and one can assume the they’re going to back Biden through and through. Even if Bernie tried campaigning, it’s not like the Democrat party will magically say “yeah get rid of Biden it’s Bernie time” The only way Bernie can “jump in there” against his party’s wishes is to actively go against them and become the third option on the ballot. Which he might be able to do, but you can’t really expect every single Biden voter to suddenly flip over to Bernie if Biden doesn’t concede to Bernie, which he wont do. To imagine a Bernie or Biden victory in a scenario where they’re actively challenging each other AND a unified Republican Party candidate is either imagining a fantasy voting scenario or an actual election fraud scenario because it doesn’t seem realistic to convince every Biden voter to swap to Bernie, and so the only way to beat the split vote handicap would be to get republicans voters too. If Bernie could get half of all “Democrat voters”(Biden gets the other half) AND get half of all “republican voters”(how?) and/or maybe get every single person who won’t vote, to vote for him, he can make it work but it’s not super realistic
