This Movie actually ruined Goten and Kid Trunks reputation as Characters, so that's how they both got Demoted by getting Sidelined as just Background Characters in "Battle of Gods" & "Resurrection F" Movies and pretty much Overall of DBS, At least Krillin and Android 18 were still Popular enough to get more Action in the "Tournament of Power" Arc.

Why couldn't it happen after the defeat of kid Buu? Because Goku wasn't in it? Maybe he was just hanging back and letting trunks and goten handle it because he kept saying how the new generation needed to do some of their own fighting. And Vegeta probably felt the same way.

Qaaman goes into detail about this movie in hiz video discussion about the DBZ movie timeline placements,and even I agree that this movie iz so impossible to fit into the timeline that it's stuck in limbo along with Cooler's Revenge. When Qaaman sez that Cooler's Revenge and this R both stuck in limbo he should have also mentioned Tree of Might and Lord Slug.

Bio broly could still technically happen just different you gotta remember that broly was getting his ass whooped by gogeta maybe it can be a thing like just like in the original they find some blood left over cause if we remember the place was a Iceland before they began fight perhaps there was still a spot of snow left an they found the frozen blood there an if we wanna explain why people are there I mean any fight Goku gets into damn near shakes the entire planet an they destroyed a whole patch of land turned it from a snowland to a desert area an they take the blood figuring like humans " if we can reengineer this blood we can make whatever was strong enough to cause all this damage "
