When you told the second caller that more Police are killed by Civilians compared to Civilians being killed by cops... I wanted to look it up myself. "In 2022, 118 officers died in the line of duty, according to the FBI’s Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted database. Sixty of those officers were killed feloniously, primarily by firearms. However, law enforcement does not rank in the top 10 deadliest professions in the US, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS)." However, "The killing of Tyre Nichols in January 2023 by Memphis Police Officers has reignited debates about police brutality in the United States. Between 2013 and 2023, over 1,000 people have been killed by police in every year. Some of the most infamous examples include the murder of George Floyd in May 2020, and the shooting of Breonna Taylor earlier that year. Within this time period, the most people killed by police in the United States was in 2023, at 1,340 people." I feel that even due to these reports, PEOPLE gets taken out more than The police do. BUT... I do understand the premise that police aren't going to want to risk their lives doing these jobs via the reason's you've stated.

In 1997 179 police officers were killed in the line of duty. The FBI statistics show an 8.5% decrease in police deaths in 2022. If police killed in the line of duty was so rampant like you say why aren't the statistics lining up Anton?

We've made dysfunction synonymous with being Black. Why else would speaking properly be called "talking white?" Ebonics/slang was meant for the Panthers and 1st generation gangs to be able to speak to their ppl in a way that white people (mostly cops) wouldn't understand. It wasn't meant to be how we actually talk all the time, it was meant to be a tool to protect yourself from self-incrimination

I truly believe that the black community started this down trend in our culture started in the 1970’s. In my opinion, our culture celebrated the underdog, such as, the pimps and the pushers and the prostitutes . We see it celebrated in our films (black exploitation films ) and in our music. The other part of the equation was that our people had destain for authority, such as our governmental or corporations, because many of our people viewed these systems as racist. To a degree, they are correct; however, because promotion of the under-culture became so prominent in films and in music resulted in the villain becoming the hero. We glorify the pimps; we idolized the drug dealers; emulate the thugs; and normalized the hoes. It is until we truly deeply examined ourselves as a black community and attack or bring focus on the cancer causing problems in our culture is when we see real change.

I’ve been a black conservative for 4 decades. I never voted for Obama in either term. But, I’ll never understand the phenomenon of black people that deny institutional racism from economic, judicial and sociological hierarchies. Study after study, document after document shows this bias running deep in America. From denial of loans, to 7x the likelihood to be WRONGLY convicted of murder. It seems that to be a black conservative AND get the bag in this content creator/ media personality space, one must agree that facts are not facts. I agree with Anton on many things. But his lack of knowledge regarding white supremacy is embarrassing for one who appears to have the ability to think critically.

Honestly that's because the community has been cradled. I truly believe it's because of the family structure. Men being raised by woman and being all in their feelings. Bull shit about the police! The police departments in most states are deeply scrutinized. Place like NYC for example; the NYPD is scrutinized by civilians with their CCRB (Civilian Complaint Review Board); there is oversight from their supervision up the echelon; investigated by IAB (Internal Affairs Bureau); the NY State Attorneys office; there is Federal oversight from the FBI; and the list goes on. One officer actions are examined by several entities that have authority to determine the outcome.

Talking about systemic racism, or "lack there of", and the choices a person makes does not belong in the same conversation. HOA's created to keep black people out of certain neighborhoods; that's a racist system. A military where black soldiers couldn't use the same benefits as white soldiers; that's a racist system. Houses being appraised 100k less than market value because the owner is black; that's a racist system. The victims of those scenarios didn't make poor decisions. You are mixing oil and water on that discussion.

However, you don't mention when black people are thriving. Its like the Hodge twins always talking about negativity with black people but not recognizing the positivity with black people. I have no problem with talking about issues and holding people accountable. But also have that same energy to report positive news when it happens.

BP would rather jump on CO for calling out the demise of blc culture rather than the ppl who is controling the cultures demise. She is exposing the ppl/industries who has been destroying the blc comm, the polices/party BP stand for that is destroying the comm, but BP would rather come against her??
