David S Goyer (director of Blade 3) and Ryan Reynolds both pursued to make a Deadpool film because of this film and they saw the potential way back when. Goyer eventually moved on because New Line Cinema didn’t have the rights to DP, they were with Fox for the X-Men package of characters, and he wrote for Chris Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. But not Ryan Reynolds. He stood with the project even if that meant he played the crappy version in X Men Origins Wolverine.

Well... if they genuinely hated eachother, the writers for these scenes wouldn't have fed into it. It makes sense. I doubt the producers would've been happy if the writers caused the actors to have problems with eachother. If two actors don't like eachother, it usually shows in them not being in scenes together, rather than with scripted lines where their characters mock eachother.

He basically from what I've found, he just annoyed him cuz he stayed in character and apparently Ryan doesn't have an off switch so his annoyances with him specifically was genuine lol. But Wesley's main problem was with David Goyer and Avi Arad and Blade: Trinity production was a shit show with all the studio meddling and basically back lining Blade so they could push a nightstalkers franchise. With that idea being still relatively new before the marvel Disney merger where they basically fling out franchises by the dozen, it was really stressful supposedly. Looking back I could see it. I love that they patched things up for DP and Wolverine. Another fun fact: the studio didn't want to label this as DP3 but instead push it as like a filler story, idk if that's 100% but I saw a lot of that going around before release.
