It's not that I don't like it and I even use it, but you can't compare it to for example Photoshop, while blender can be easily even called better than a lot of paid programs (or at least equal) Blender can be used professionally to advanced work, while gimp cant

It was very likely made using after effects. You can use after effects to make these kind of transitions, 2d animations, compositing, a bit of 3d, color grading and more similar stuff in it

That’s just objectively wrong, backend tools for unreal are proprietary and can’t be altered by any larger community meaning it has zero render flexibility over what is possible in blender (also no modeling, sculpting, texture painting or uv edit support built in). You only think it’s more impressive because of what the company pushes into media about the engine, blender has no corporate higher ups so doesn’t have that same push for high Fidelity marketing even though both Cycles and Evee are more than capable of that
