It's improved in literally every other aspect of what people didn't like the first season. The character art, the backgrounds are fledged out now, even the cgi looks way better. Finally got to watch the explanation you were teasing a few days ago and it did not disappoint 👍 First there is no need to apologize for "ranting" because you are merely just getting into the nitty gritty of the thought process behind specific shots which is no problem at all. Of course people have already decided s2 will be trash and cursing 8bit to hell but there are still others willing to lend an ear for your case. You pretty much explained what I was speculating for the clips like yes they were definitely not scenes meant for an animation spectacle but considering the context the scenes will feel more cohesive in the final product. The part where you questioned the strong aversion to cgi was funny. Seems like people would rather be cynical and accept what is shown in front of them then hope for the better because animators are human at the end of the day. The Blue Lock producer was really nice and enthusiastic when talking about the series at Anime Expo so I can't imagine people giving him that same anger if they had a chance to talk to him. Your breakdown kinda reminds me of the time I watched the raw cut of a variety show and it was pretty strange without the usual text and image overlays and bgm they add in to spice up the viewer experience. Or if you have ever seen sitcoms with the intentional laugh track pauses muted it is that same type of awkwardness. I also noticed that this video has surpassed the views of your previous one in a shorter amount of time so congratulations on that, I hope this means people are spreading it.

This is also a trailer with a bunch of out of context clips when this clips are put in motion alot of the jank will be less noticeable in the show itself especially with them filling in backgrounds whitch was one of my biggest complaints with season 1 the cut ins with white backgrounds. Am i dispointed with this trailer yes its hard not to be especially when this a action sports anime has worse action animation then oshi no ko a mystery drama. But overall its a improvement over season 1 and so im at least happy its getting animated at all.

i believe they should get more dynamic frames and be more visual appealing, a problem that i have with BL anime is that they pick very dynamic panels from the manga and absolutely screw them up, the rin passing to shidou is an example. The CGI is better but the way they use it in the actual animation makes it very boring to watch, like 5:20 its so bad like wtf, make it more appealing, kinda like what they did with Loki outspeeding rin in the s1, so fckin ass. the Chigiri and Hiori still panels are great but really for an sports anime to choose still well drawn panels with powerpoint slide animations over more dynamic and "badly drawn" animations is very strange, kinda takes out the essence of Blue lock

@@2PipGang because they are limited. 1st off, they dont want to show any of the U20 match since thats the big payout, and its also the next arc. Meaning they are limited to the 3rd selection which is only 7 chapters long (in relation to Isagi’s game), meaning there is only so much they can show from those 7 chapters. Not mention they dont wanna show TOO much from that match because they want to leave you anticipating more from that arc. So take away 49 chapters from the adaptation of this second season, limiting the trailer and its available footage down to 7 chapters, which is about 1.5 episodes. then divide that in 2 because u want to save your best moments for the anime and not the trailer. then subtract all the basic monologue moments that arent needed to be shown. out of everything i just described, does it not make sense that some of the footage wouldnt be the best you’d ever seen? trailers dont show their best footage, they show good footage. they leave the best parts for those who watch the actual product. i hope this makes sense
