Ukraine says it is prepared to use British long-range missiles - if they were supplied by the UK - to hit Russian forces inside Crimea.
It comes after Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said the UK would step up arms shipments to Kyiv - including discussions on sending Harpoon anti-ship missiles and Storm Shadow cruise missiles.
During President Zelensky's visit to the UK last week, he asked for fighter jets, as well as long-range missiles, to defend against the Russian invasion.
According to defence analyst Dr James Bosbotinis, the missiles would also be "ideal" for targeting Russian air and naval bases in Crimea.

Unfortunately UK missiles and military hardware has been below bar in the Ukraine-Russia war. What we learn from this war is that Europeans over hype their weapons but in real battle field they are a big disappointment. Even Leo tanks were super flops in the Ukraine counter offensive and Europeans on the internet were full of military experts that claim nothing came close to Leo. Even SAAB's gripen were compared to Lockheed martins f-22 and Europeans debated that gripen were much much better than f-22 but when Ukraine happened, Saab refuses to sell their jets when before the war Saab was crying almost everyday, even agreeing to sell advanced IP to the buyer nations. Of all the weapon sent to Ukraine by UK including the famous and over hyped strom shadow missiles, challenger tanks, drones, brimstone missiles, starstreak missiles, rocket launchers and Stromer HVM. They were all big flops in the battle field. None of them really impacted the battle. Only the NLaw shined in the battle field. The NLaw to many surprises, over delivered on it capabilities. After reviewing the performance of UK military tech and hardware in Ukraine. It's safe to conclude that UK is no longer a military super power. UK military ranking must take at least minus 10 of their current military might ranking.

Not sure if they can connect them to an adequate launch adapter (as the US did for the AGM-88), but 24 of those would blow up up to four segments each on the Crimea bridge. Add to that a blowout strike on all 5 - 8 airfields on crimea and some command centers and logistics hubs in one or two nights, and Britain will have almost fulfilled its obligation from the 1994 Budapest memorandum.

Complete nonsense. What is this 'world' war you're talking about? Who is coming to help Russia? How would that even start? You really think Russia has the forces to attempt to invade a NATO country now? Their Kaliningrad garrison is now barebones because most have been transferred to the 'special operation'. There needs to come a point where we stop giving the Russians so much military credit. They have one strength left - nuclear weapons. And China isn't going to let them use it.

I don't think any country would compromised its own security by giving away too much weapons. It is an advantage to have so many countries supporting Ukraine in this regard as they can all share the collective support. Having said that, the West needs to ramp up production. Wartime is no time to stay relaxed. The good news is multiple countries have upped their defense budgets (including Japan). It will take years for the effects to show, but the wheels have started turning.
