I've had my BRZ for a month now. I got a hold of a 2015 CWP Aozora (Series.Blue in Canada) edition. Guys, trust me, I am 24 years old, this is my dream car and I can see myself driving this for a very long time. Like the video is saying, it may not have the best accelerating capabilities but trust me, this car is sooooo much fun. If you're thinking about purchasing one, here are some reasons as to why you should get it: Low cost considering its overall balance Mods (the feeling you get when you tell others what you've done to your car is priceless) Turns heads (I get compliments everywhere, the car you drive is a reflection of your personality) RWD (I live in Canada, lots of snow, but looking forward to winter) And lastly, the size of the car. It is a toy for big boys. Such a petite sweetheart. Obviously, there are many other reasons as to why you should buy this car but these are just of the main reasons as to why I love this vehicle. If you're looking for a sports car that has a great balance in every aspects of driving, 5 out of 5 I would purchase a BRZ again. Good luck all and drive safely!

Great compilation. I'm sure there's a million haters out there, but anyone who starts a car conversation with "how much HP does it have?" just isn't the target audience for this car, and that's okay. For those of us growing up tearing around in Miatas and what not, this car just nails it, and I think much of the commentary explains that perfectly.
@Texarmageddon9 жыл бұрын
Lol Why would those of us who've driven a Miata, S2000, or an RX8 downgrade to a BRZ? BRZ is obviously a better car than the Miata and looks better than the other two. Yet, NO ONE will say the BRZ can replace the s2000 or RX8 in the handling department. In my books, the car failed in every department. There is a specific reason why reviewers aren't comparing it to either an S2000 and RX8. I say saved some coin and pick up a used s2000 and RX8
@davidpaulin9 жыл бұрын
Texarmageddon sorry but they have been compared and the brz takes over an rx8 hands down in the handling department .. it's also wider and lighter than the s2000 and with equivalent tire setup is destroys an s2000...
@Texarmageddon9 жыл бұрын
davidpaulin There are only two known actual reviews... and almost all of them put the RX8 and S2000 above the BRZ.... I don't know of any fool who would take a 53/47 over a car that has 50/50 weight distribution and a engine that sits just as low.
@TheBigChad9 жыл бұрын
@davidpaulin there is no way any kind of tire setup will ever make the brz take an S2000. You have been severely misinformed my friend. The S has more power, more torque, it IS lighter than the brz, the 9k rpm can't be touched, the 4.10 gearing is really nice, comparing the suspension is like a sirloin steak compared to a spam sandwich the s2000 is miles above the brz. Don't get me wrong I like the look of the brz, if it had 250hp I'd really like it, but having owned an ap1 s2000, a brz, and back to an s2000 trust me when I say there is no comparison. I don't baby my cars either, I'm at the track every Sunday and the S out performs the brz in every capacity. If ur truly a car enthusiast then u will see what I'm talking about
@davidpaulin9 жыл бұрын
sorry but your torque numbers are not totally correct .. it only makes peak torque near the end of it's rpm range .. that's why most brz/frs shit on s2k's in auto x ... and no the s2k isn't lighter than a brz, mine weights 2740lbs with a full tank of fuel and my s2k was around 2880.. Suspension wise, you can put just about any type of suspension on a car as long as the geometry stays good and the dampers are properly calibrated, the car that has a lower center of gravity and the widest stance will always win with similar rubbers .. just a set of pilot super sports on the twins and you break over 1.10g on a skidpad which is higher than pretty much anything you will see on the road ..

Ben Broomhall Oh noes another BRZ is a real drivers car... Only a fool would pick a BRZ over an S2000/ RX8.. Well unless fuel economy was actually important to you. BTW, might want to check some hard facts. Less than 20% of BRZ/FRS owners are between the age of 25-34. Over 50% are over the age of 45. What does that mean? The average age of BRZ/FRS owners is pretty much similar to that of Mustang Owners. You tried, but someone beat you to the numbers. Pretty much a known fact most sport cars are driven by the oldies... BTW... I like most cars... Im just no fan of a car that's slower than a 10 year old honda in every category

+Just1ofGod im planning to buy a BRZ or FR-S...can you give me few pointers? I am loving the subaru interior a bit more and the climate control switches, as well as the GPS, keyless entry and start engine button in the sport-tech trim, but also cost a bit more than the FR-S at the higher trim.
@riffmeister1018 жыл бұрын
+Jack Liu I just bought my BRZ a couple months ago and it's my daily driver. I went for the BRZ over the 86/FR-S because of where I live (Trinidad) and the 86 was waaaaaay over priced compared to the BRZ. But that's just this particular market. If you want to get into heavily modifying your car and are more interested in track applications I'd say go for the FR-S and put the $ difference toward your mods. As mine is my daily driver and I'm only intending to do mild upgrades I preferred the look and materials of the BRZ's interior and the keyless entry. Either way, happy shopping :)
@RKO8598 жыл бұрын
riffmeister101 Thanks for the input. got any pics to show? What color is your BRZ and did you get the top-end sport-tech package?
@riffmeister1018 жыл бұрын
+Jack Liu No problem :) Don't have any pics for you, but I got the Limited edition with fog lights and Crystal White Pearl paint. Living in Trinidad, my situation is a little unique/different. Long story, short(ish) version: I'd been looking to import a foreign-used BRZ myself for a while but the import taxes and duties here are ridiculous. Basically another 50% on top of the purchase price of the vehicle. New vehicles are stupidly expensive as well, again because of the taxes. On the off chance I went to the local Subaru dealership and they had two 2015 BRZs in the showroom, an automatic (blue) and a manual (white). When I did the math the dealership was about US$8,000.00 more for a new vehicle than I would pay to import a 2013 model (best deal I found online). Given that an import would have no warranty and I wouldn't know the vehicle's history I was more comfortable paying the full price for a new car. And as the dealership only had the one manual (white) I moved as quick as I could and got deposit etc in place before someone else came in. After I completed the purchase I was told (by a 2nd salesman at the dealership) that I had actually 'jumped the line' as he had imported that particular BRZ for another customer but I made my payment before they did so I got the car. I'm not complaining, but I do feel sorry for the other guy. Only a little bit though :) I love driving the car and I love just sitting behind the wheel. Some people are talking down the interior and its 'dated' look. Imo if they're buying a sports car based on the quality and nuances of the interior then they have their 'sports' priorities all wrong. Having said that, this is my daily driver and I actually like the interior as is: simple and practical with not much to distract your attention. All the information you really need is directly in front of you on the tachometer, in your hands through the wheel and through your ass in the seat. As for the actual driving, steering is immediate and with plenty of feedback, throttle response is good, brakes are good. A little more power wouldn't be a bad thing but once you're at the correct rpm range for what you want to do then the stock power is totally sufficient (a little power slide, quick overtake, a fast exit from a corner, etc). Also, I drive with traction control off unless its raining heavily, then I go sports mode. As for the mods I want to do: Intake, full exhaust, ECUTek tune (local guy has the licence so that's the easiest option for me), stiffer sway bars, tower bars (won't be doing coilovers/lowering as the roads here are quite bad and the stock suspension rides well enough, don't want to make it too stiff), brake discs/pads and braided brake/clutch lines. I've already installed a Perrin oil cooler and upgraded the rims from stock 17"x 7" to 17" x 8" (again, because of the roads I wanted to keep the ride quality. 18" rims would have a negative impact and any wider than an 8" tire would be too much rubber for the kind of horse power I'm looking to achieve after all upgrades are done). And the reason I didn't go for the 86: The Subaru dealership had the BRZ for TT$320,000.00 while the Toyota dealership sells the 86 for TT$400,000.00 (divide by 6.42 to get US$). Like I said, new vehicles are stupidly expensive here. Anyway, sorry for the long reply. Hope you get behind the wheel yourself soon :)
