@@hmmnotsure I cannot tell you the extent to which those 2 d's will affect your report card mark. I am not your teacher. It's nice to bring this up. Brightside's saying that if you're a C student, you will automatically be an A student's boss. That is a lie. C students can be focusing on other things outside of school, like you, which benefit them; others just bs their way from term/semester to term/semester. Some A students realise the flaws in school and exploit them, others invest a great deal of time and effort into subjects they love which happen to be covered by the curriculum. The video is either one designed to make kids feel good, which I can appreciate but is still a big step in the wrong direction given the chance they could just go to the lazy, coasting side, or its an attempt to boost the ego of a Brightside team member.

Joseph Davies Honestly speaking most are the first type lol. Getting A in school really isn’t hard especially if you have CP, I mean all you need to do is focus on class, sure you may have other things you want to pursue but school doesn’t really use your outside time(unless homeworks, which depends on where you live). Personally speaking, Elementry school (1-6) should start with introducing all these new topics and stuff instead of read a book, and take a nap xD. Then when they go to junior high (7-8) they learn some more things. First 2years or so of HS, they learn even more. And then in the 2 other years, they should be free to choose their own topic by that point unless they still wanna study general things, so they get more ideas and whatnot. Or if someone find what they wanna do earlier, school let’s them pursue that subject and other subjects as well, but not as much as you would need to in general. But meh, it’ll never happen xD, they make profit off grades so...

It's your life, decision and the things you enjoy. Now I realize it, I thought of self-studying like homeschooling myself. It can be hard but at least I don't need toxic people in my life anymore

Dont go saying A students aren't also very successful. Just because ur not an eantrepenuer doesn't mean u can't be more successful than someone. Like doctors
@nighthawk80465 жыл бұрын
Kade Lishbrook there is no fault in being an A student if you are one but realize this; you have a statistically higher probability of being brainwashed by the entire school system (US primarily, others places around the world like Finland have far superior education models where there are no standardized tests or quizzes, or homework of any sort. This is why Finland has the best and brightest students. They utilize their imaginations), but if you realize what that system is doing to to you then you are far better off. Now if you did not realize that the US education system is just a way for companies to profit and to provide meager education to kids while stifling creativity, then it is to no fault of your own. There is one rule among all others; do what you love. If you love your profession stick with it. You can also work on projects and companies on the side, no one sets that limit for you

I was an F student (35%-50%) Gpa 1.00) for most of the school year this began in 4th grade and dragged on to my senior year of high school, mainly because I hated and never did homework/classwork. It wasn't up until the last few months of the semester that I would try to raise my grade to a D and if I was lucky a C+, I did not graduate with the class though I did receive my diploma attending summer school (retake economics) those wondering. lived my life for 2 years and realized I wanted to go to college so I applied to a local community and spent 2years working on prerequisite classes I hated myself for not paying attention in math class as the burden of not knowing basic equations made it very difficult, I had to start at 5th-grade level math and work my way up. I graduated and was accepted into a 4 year now in my second year studying mechanical engineering with hopes of venturing off to the space industry. I wouldn't say I'm successful but definitely a turn around comparable to success, it's important to know what you're capable of and be willing to work hard to achieve it.

Hi! I was an A(-) student. However, I didn't take school too seriously, liked to joke around, but still got work done. Definitely knew I couldn't be stuck in a cubical or corporate setting. This video is quite logical and contains truth. Today I'm an entrepreneur and can't imagine working for someone else. That being said I was more so a hybrid of A/C when going to school. Great video

It does depend on what field you are though. In jobs with heavy use of Math and/or Science, that's a different story.

its not just because your a a student that you will be successful- if you're the right TYPE of a kid, you'll be more successful than the average c student.

Solving your problem: Start from the facts. Fact1: You get A grades. Why? Because you spend too much time on homework (even if that time might be shorter than anyones else). Thus you don't think like a C student. Conclusion: You are an A student.

If I fail in dictation, it’s not just a OK, WE HAVE TO DICTATE AGAIN. BUT IF WE WERE SICk, 10 marks is deducted because apparently teachers think you can still “study” and if we have to re-dictate, 20 marks is deducted cause teachers think it’s UNFAIR AGAIN

I used to get As before but life did a u-turn and made me into a C student during A-levels. Im going to retake my exams now but honestly watching this video I've realised just how much my mindset has changed from being a perfectionist to being more strong willed when failure kicks you in the face. But lets see what happens.. And good luck to everyone still taking exams!

You can't predetermine someone's future by just looking at their grades in school , even if they are an A,B or C student. This is because at the end of the day it all depends on the person.
