Why Calgary's 60K Ultra Marathon is COMPLETELY INSANE

This year at the Calgary Marathon, the race celebrated it's 60th Anniversary by creatin a 60KM Ultra Event. 240 Runners were brave enough to finish, some never showed up and some didn't finish.
I used this race as an opportunity to kick off my spring events as I set up my racing season.
Weather, course logistics, and 60KM all on the road made for a challenging run.

Good luck at lost Souls. I wondered what the weather was like for the 60 km bunch. I did the 10 km and got stuck in cold and drizzle the whole way. I was happy I chose to wear long sleeves and a toque. The Calgary Marathon is one of my favourite events.

@@annetyrrell2189 Sounds like we got the same weather. lol. Just suffered a bit longer in the 60k but I’m the same as you Calgary is always a great event.

I ran the 60 km at the calgary marathon as well, finished 6 hours 11 minutes!
