Very good video. You did a very good job explaining everything that is wrong with this franchise. Keep up the good work!

For me it's the hardcore SBMM - all you need is one good game and the rest of your session would be sweat the whole way through

@@GLHFVideos Exactly this. I had one match in the Snipers Only gametype, and everyone was using the heavier bolt actions and equally matched, was the most fun I had in the mode, but because I ended up being in the top 3 of my team, I got slammed into a lobby of sweats using the longbow and it was absolutely miserable.

100% agree and it’s a shame that the developers have lost perspective of what made CoD awesome

Fortnite's success got activision and call of duty chasing a battle royale environment where they can sell celeb skins.

There are a few things that work as concepts and did work, they just got carried away at times. Infinite warfare was just too futuristic leaning, they got carried away with the combat rigs(specialist), same with black ops 4. Black ops 3 was very based with its specialist system imo at least . Bo3 was the sweet point really, only bad thing were supply drops. But bo3 is my favourite call of duty game so I could be biased and I never cared about campaign.

I didn't like the background of Black ops 3 or the campaign but the multiplayer was enjoyable and I sunk many hours into it, Treyarch does tend to perfect new features pretty well and add some of their own to the series.

That's definitely a hot take, I wasn't an Halo guy but I remember people hating reach a lot when it came out, I guess after Halo 4, people look at it more fondly.

You very corect new cod feels like an add for celebrity's og modern warfare is a great game yet mw2 and 3 (the new ones)fail to even be a game

Yea, seems like they want to create their own fortnite where they can sell skins they created as a collaboration with celebrities.

To me CoD died about the time Black Ops 2 ended, maybe Black Ops 3 if i'm extremely lenient. But that is literally the latest point where the franchise died completely to me. BO1 was damn good, 2 was decent but mid, 3 was pretty bad but somewhat bare able but from that point onwards all their games were horrendous cesspools worsd than recycled shovelware not worth even a 10th of their price tag. A shame how greed can destroy years of legacy, good will, fate and loyalty hundreds of thousands of players had in this franchise. Then again "gamers" have fallen lower than expected when they get a boner when killing others in a video game as Nikki goddamn Minaj, it's sad and pathetic 😢😔

Mobile gaming and fortnite's success really did a number on how companies optimize their profits. There were small glimpses of hope like black ops cold war's campaign and their zombie's mode but I agree that multiplayer wise, black ops 3 was probably the last decent game. I'll be making a video about nba2k soon which is somehow even worst than cod on monetization.

@@GLHFVideos yeah, greed destroys gaming as a whole as we speak, in the past 5 years i've genuinely had about 4 games i was ok paying full price for and a couple i waited for a sale and then after i bought them waves upon waves of paid stuff kept being added. Some would say about 4-5 good games in 5 years ain't bad, but those same ppl wouldn't think of it as 5 games out of 50 maybe 100 total or something that would have potential if there wasn't greed involved. Even worse is how greed not only destroys new franchises before them even being born so to speak(first games being straight up flots so the potebtial franchise is dead from the start) but even more disappointing is how old well established franchises get slowly butchered, Payday being a good exemple, CoD, Battlefield so on and so forth, hell even racing games, sports or any other genre has its exemple. Sad thing is now as a consumer i look forward more to small indie games made by a couple of ppl/amateurs doing something they love more than i do AAA games or nowadays i should say AAAA 😂😂

Yup, payday 3's always online policy butchered the launch of the game to the point where it was almost destroyed as a franchise. Seems like there's a bit of correction overdue as nba2k has made less money this year and it's the most greedy franchise. Baldur's gate 3 made all the lazy devs panic and set a new bar. If gamers started voting with their wallets, it would get better.
@SHAdow98V
@SHAdow98V 10 ай бұрын
@@GLHFVideos yeah, Helldivers 2 seems to have the same effect as Baldur's Gate aswel, hopefully the more "good" games come out the less incentivized the lazy devs are to make their pretty much shovelware at this point.

I still enjoyed mw3 and blops2 for their campaigns and multiplayer with friends, even ghosts at times, but black ops 1 was for sure the peak balance in multiplayer and a great zombies game too.

I loved it too with the flame thrower specialist and the Kuda. I think the campaign and specialists made it very forgettable. I think black ops 4 was the last game I was consistently good which is where I draw my line

The only thing that lost it's identity was unique thumbnails. seriously I've seen this thumbnail like five times from different people talking about the same topic get a new thumbnail

Actually had this Idea based on a popular football video and at the day of the upload when I looked up the title found a video with a very similar thumbnail. I notified the creator of the video so he'd know I didn't copy it. That's fair that you don't agree with the video premise, I think I laid my case for it anyways

It all started when the first Modern Warfare 2007 dropped. It became apparent that they no longer cared about the single player experience, and MW 2007 is probably the best example of a lazy, uninspired, a overly scripted 3 hour set piece campaign that features absolutely ZERO replay value or player agency. Fortunately their single player campaigns have improved over time, but I'll always remember the campaign from MW 2007 being the absolute worst in the series, and a disgrace to single player campaigns.

That's definitely a hot take, I agree that cod campaigns outside of black ops 1/2 and cold ward are very scripted and have little to no choices in them. In terms of story, pacing and execution. mw1 has the most critically acclaimed campaign out there
@kimbercustompro1911
@kimbercustompro1911 10 ай бұрын
Critical acclaim means very little to me. IMHO COD 2 and classic COD have the best campaigns Black Op 1 and 2 are also pretty good., straddling open diverse levels with a peppering of scripted sequences that are all short enough to not get in the way. I think about the AC 130 level or the Chernobyl level from COD 4, those level to me have zero replay value outside of spectacle. Especially "all ghillied up" which is more of a heavily scripted puzzle than anything resembling an action game.@@GLHFVideos

I think as a call of duty game it was meh, on it's own it was pretty balanced like most black ops games and it had its moments with blackout. One thing to caveat is that I stopped playing before they introduced pay to win to the game
