Spawn wise, this event was one of the best events we've ever had! Amazing video Zoë, thanks for covering everything! There were so many Pikachu things everywhere! Absolutely love the Pikachu medal from the run!! I'm so jealous I couldn't make it. 😭

Glad you recorded the various shows, especially the amazing drone flyovers. I went to the event, but with more than a day's travel each way from the U.S., and with the drenching heat (I nearly collapsed on day 2 after a couple hours walk between buses--immediately surrounded by lovely Jakartan ladies offering me concern, water, and some kind of smelling salt!), I spent all the time I wasn't actively shiny hunting, recovering in my hotel room. Still had a lovely time, was frequently confused by transit transfers, but caught all the new shinies I needed (except for gender variants on the Pikas), including only my second shiny safari Eevee in three city safaris. And including my first shiny Tropius in, I think, the sixth day of boosted-shiny in-person events for me since it became a shiny, thank goodness. But I hope there's a drone show like that at some future event, because seeing an LED Kyogre swim overhead like that has got to be amazing! And I'd have adored a Pikachu medal. But the 5k would have killed me! Sorry, cab driver who insisted to me "Jakarta is cool, it's not hot."

It’s annoying that in New York City they picked such an undesirable location as Randall Island, which no New Yorker would ever go to, instead of someplace better like Central Park, and in other countries it’s such a magnificent event!

I love that there's some exclusive Pikachu/ Balloonchu, but it also makes the collector in me sad that it's a bunch of costume Pokémon I'm going to struggle to collect! Hope there's a city safari near me soon for the Eevee and Skiddo - but if not I need to find myself an in person event with a wild Zoë appearing 😅 That event(s) looks so much fun. Absolutely jam packed with Pokémon goodness! The effort those costume Pikachu put into the dances too is impressive! I bet they are boiling 🥵 Thanks for the video!

The dancing Pikachu were going NEXT LEVEL! So much crazy footwork. I was melting in a tshirt, I can't imagine how they were feeling. But I do believe Pikachu have very strict rules on not being in the heat for too long so I imagine there were some creative swaps going on so everyone was safe 💛 And I ran into a buch of UK players at the event, maybe someone closer than you think could have spare Pikas for trade? Always down to trade if you find me IRL though :)

Zoë, it is a great city safari event with all the other events going on in Jakarta. I am not able to make it for Jakarta but I will be heading to Hong Kong for the city safari in December. I will definitely enjoy the event in Hong Kong in a couple months. So ready to catch the Eevee and Skiddo

I went to the one in bali earlier this year and made a lot of friends and all around had a good time. very awesome what pokempn and indonesia are doing! I still need the batik shiny have a bunch of the non shiny ones which are easy trades since im in sweden 😂

If only safari zones could pop up at random. I imagine designating certain parks on the map as safari zones giving them extra stops and certain pokemon isnt that hard. The game desperately needs a boost in offerings that aren't just live events. I personally cannot justify traveling like 18 hours just to play a game in person.

Yes I wish all events like that. I do think the park hard to get to (took 3 Grab cars to find it) the Bali event early in the year had so much better park, games and importantly cooling tents. But after say that did live this Jakarta event. The run looked amazing but wasn’t it out at that horrible park? Saw our trade in the video too 😍

Tbh, I don't think it was too horrible. Sure, it's pretty out of the way but it is a real park instead of a make-shift park and that's definitely more in line with what Pokemon Go wanted their players to do: walk and play in a park with other people. I hated two things: less tents for shades, which a lot of friends have shown they're down with heat exhaustion after the event because there weren't enough shade, and trash containers, there were so few and it took a long time to find some and it always means you have to ditch your spot and someone might take it just to go to throw away some trash.

Since all Pokemon can be Dynamax so Dynamax Pokemon can debut in quick way because Dynamax doesn't change much of the appearance of Pokemon. Dynamax Pokemon only change in size and the red aura surrounding the Pokemon body also has red clouds on the top of the Pokemon head. Dynamax Pokemon has max exclusive battle moves. So for me, it doesn't change much appearance of the Pokemon.

As a nitpick, I think panoramic images of cities are less interesting and less unique for the location cards. I wish they'd choose an iconic spot instead. Osaka GoFest's Osaka Castle card was good, for example.

On the right of the landscape is our national monument called the Monas. So it's not just a panoramic image, but I also feel it was a bit not as punchy as I'd like? I wish it was more in the centre and emphasized. Also reminder that Jakarta is a city and thus there's not a lot of traditional looking stuff you can take photos of here lol. @@hanashikari Many cities have statues, monuments, gardens, museums, temples/churches/mosques, markets, etc. that may not be old but are famous and reprentative of the city. It doesn't have to be historic, but it should be interesting. Even if they choose a tower, they could take a closer or more artistic shot. It's not just Jakarta. The Sendai GoFest picture was also a boring panorama shot, and Sendai has multiple interesting places they could have chosen. It's just a bit disappointing when they choose the panorama.

But also there's really like no special buildings in Jakarta specifically that's like a park or temple or mosques and stuff that would be so iconic of Jakarta that people would easily recognise. They're all surprisingly not in the capital city lmfao. All the temples, mountains, etc., all of it's not in Jakarta or the museums here don't look special enough in my opinion to really be special in the shot. Agree that I wish they had taken a nicer shot. Like make the Monas the centre of the pic, not on the side like that. That's just doing us a disservice lol Sendai would have been a let-down, all things considered. Hella sad that it's not something a bit more recognisable for the fans to look back on
