Normally, at a bigger size if you have double flare in, your ear will eventually weigh down and you take the double flare out and put back in with ease. It's amazing how fast your ears naturally stretch at bigger sizes

After I stretch my ears using tapers I like to wear a SOLID plug on a daily basis (single flare with O-Ring retainer of course). I prefer stone or solid metal plugs as they weigh more and the weight tends to SLOWLY stretch my ears after a while, gravity physics and what not lol. I literally wear them 24/7 only removing them to wash my ears and/or during a shower. Then after about three weeks as UrbanBodyJewelry suggests, the double flares go in VERY smoothly. Using this method, I have NEVER had issues going from newly stretched to a double flare plug. Hopes this helps.

I've been at 5mm (4g) for aeons, and I can only get in a very FEW pairs of stone double flares from this ONE company. All other double flares are just too big! Drives me bonkers. For acrylics and metal it doesn't matter to me TOO much, but single flared stone plugs look very different in the front than double flared stone plugs, and that's the look I'm going for here. If I wanted to look like I had a stone cabochon on a post I wouldn't have stretched!

It depends on the DF, but a lot I can’t wear or put in. I actually tore my right ear trying to take one out, even after showering and using a water based lubricant. My ear healed nicely and you wouldn’t be able to tell it tore at all, but it scared me away from a lot of DF plugs. It kinda makes me sad, because I’ve been a 00 for the past 5 years and I see so many cute DF plugs. Maybe I can try again with them in the future.

@@kellybills2987 Np, I’ve seen people have better luck at that size. I had my issues too. But the best is to just not force it and try to use either water base lubricant or taking a hot shower, since warm water can make your skin stretchy. You can also use weighted hangers to stretch a bit.

After being stretched at a 4g for three years, I’ve finally gone up to a 0g. One of my ears was blown out previously (I was a stupid teenager who thought I could stretch from a 8g to a 6g within a few days .-.) and it’s got the “cat butt” look on the back of it. Getting my 0g tunnel in took hours because of that really tough skin, but thankfully I finally got it in. My dad got me a really cute pair of tunnels and I was really scared when I saw they were double flared, I’ve only ever worn single flared jewelry, and double flared silicone tunnels. Hopefully I can put them in, in a few months of course.

DJA Visuals I’m able to get them in easily. Taking them out is the hard part. I literally have to yank them out so I don’t wear them very often, only for a night out since they’re flashy. I’ve noticed that every time I wear them, my ears get really swollen and raw. I’ve had them at a 0g for a long time now so they’re healed and the loose “cat butt” skin has stretched out so they look better now when I don’t have jewelry in. I keep Jojoba oil on them as well, so it keeps the skin nice and supple to avoid dryness or cracking.

If you go onto the ubj website they have 1G stretching kits and let me tell you, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD USE THE 1G the 2mm stretch from 2g - 0g killed me

4g to 2g just felt like I was putting another 4g in my ear 😂 I even looked at the box and was like “is this the right size??” And tried to put a 0 in. Didn’t work of course, and trying to stretch from a 2 to a 0 with a taper was so painful I couldn’t even convince myself to go through with it. I used the taping method, stretched to a 1g so it was I between and then after they healed I stretched to a 0 with a taper. Much easier and way less painful.

Double flared just doesnt work for me. Been at 00 for over a year and still cant get them in. When i was at a smaller size (6) i tried to get double flared plugs in. Couldnt do it for the life of me. My single flared plugs were pretty loose too and would sometimes fall out of my ear when i was sleeping. Later when i was a 4 i even tried to get those 6g double flared plugs in and the flare was STILL too big

I avoid flared plugged like the plaque as I don't want them to tear. I'm not taking any changes. Best thing to do is get some heavy jewellery in your size and just wait till its like easy to pull out without unscrewing it. One I can do that after about a month I'm confident u can Size up. I'm not steching anymore though, 18,19mm is my max. Saying that I was just going to go to 10mm but it looked to small for me. I just got some amazing bullet ones from amazon. I was wearing some silicone ones in as the others were starting to hurt in bed. So I might keep the silicone ones for bed as its so much more comfortable

I've had my lobes stretched for a couple of years and I can (with some struggle) put in 00 double flares if they are stone, glass, acrylic or wood, but I've never been able to put in metal double flares (unless they can be unscrewed). Each time I try I just end up damaging my ears because of the sharp edges. Even if I tug on my earlobes, the holes do not open up more. Also if I take the tunnels out for night, I will have trouble putting them in in the morning. So I take them off only sometimes for a shower or when I change them out. Otherwise I would be back to tapers, which already happened several times.

Pro tip, if you gauge with a taper and you push a plug through right after, use stone plugs. The weight makes it stretch quicker and often helps when you jump to the next

I have always had issues with double flares unless they’re heart shaped. I’m at a 00. I’m going to put a layer of PTFE tape on my single flares to prepare for double flares and see if that helps.

Silicone tunnels the crazy thing is a few days after that blowout heals completely chances are they will go in easier I had a blowout and I did a salt water solution as well as massaging it and it healed within a week so a few days later I put in the silicone tunnels and they went in super easy and the reason why I had the blowout was because I tried to put the silicone tunnels in too soon but then they went in perfectly a few days after it healed

Hello i purchased a 12mm teardrop plug. My ear is stretched to 14mm. I ordered 12 mm so that i could insure the double flare fit in my ear and didn’t care about my ear shrinking back down to 12 mm. The problem i am having is that it still will not fit! The pointed piece at the top will not go in my ear. So I was able to get my 00 wood double flares in and also out but now they’re irritated and sore. Not like a full blown blow out but a bit irritated and red. I soaked all of my jewelry in a warm sea salt water bath and cleaned my ears with the same type of solution. Should I let them breathe for a day and then reinsert vitamin E oil lubed plugs that I know will fit ? I’m just worried that my ears might close up a little too much. Thanks 😬

Updated:: *** I finally got them out***. So, would these methods work for saddle plugs that wont come out? I’ve tried everything and dont want to have a blowout. I’m currently a 4g (have been for 7 years) and would like to stretch to a 0g. ****Update:: ok so I got those 4 gauge saddles out. I had to put a taper spike size 8g just to stretch the inside of the skin of my ear so that way I could get over the edge of the plug. I let the spikes stretch my ear for about 2 hours. I then used some jojoba oil to lube my ear before I pulled the taper out and then tilted the plug and applied pressure to have the plugs come out. I did bleed just a little bit but nothing major. Good news is that with me doing it the way that I did it, I was able to easily put in a 2g flesh tunnel single flare with some jojoba oil to help. Thanks!! Your video helped!

I've been wearing 0g glass plugs for months now, probably closer to a year, and I still can't get a double flare in. I've never had an easy stretch; I've always had to size up gradually with tape no matter how long I've been at a certain size. And I'm not gonna lie, it really pisses me off that I'm gonna have to stretch up to a 00 *just* to get a 0 double flare in my ears. I just got 3 pairs of 0g double flares. I can't put them in and I streched over 3 months ago. Maybe it's hard because it's cold Ig. Lubrication makes it worse as it keeps sliding lmao. I have a piercing from earing in the wrong place, even letting it close up won't work, any idea how to move the hole, what I mean in one ear I have 2 tunnels but if I want to do the same on the other ear it will be too close to the tunnel

Never take then out at night ... They will downsize . use whatever material at night that is comfortable for you. Mine is silicone. Also, I put light weights to my ears everyday for a few hours and tugged on them all the time esspecially after and during a hot shower. Just keep tugging slightly everyday and you will get there. I have issues with trying to put in plugs that have the screw backs on them like my ear gets caught on the ridges of wrre you screw the back onto so I can never get them in my ear. One of my ears is at a 2g right now because I had a bad reaction to the jewelry I stretched with, the other is at my goal size which is a 0g. So with the 0g ear it’s extremely hard to put the screw back jewelry in and I can’t and I don’t want force it so I don’t and take it out and just put my normal jewelry back in but like I would like some tips on that please even if I live up my ear it still doesn’t help

I know this video is old but I have a question that might seem silly. I'm at 1inch . My ears have been 25mm for years. I've been wearing double flare for as long as I can remember. I want to stretch to 28mm . Would I still want to use single flare tunnels? I was using double flare for about 1 week and then took them out because I seen this video that said use single flare. So now I'm worried once I start using single flare to size up my ears are gonna shrink and not want to take back the double flare. I hope this makes sense. I'd be so upset if my ears didn't take well again to double flare.

So it will unfortunately depend on your body's reaction but as long as you do what you can to keep the elasticity of your lobes then it should work more or less in your favor! :) You can give your lobes massages when out of the shower and try sizing up after the shower when your skin is more "relaxed", we really hope this kind of helps and wish you the best on your stretching journey :)

The double flares are fine to put in after a healing period from stretching using single flares :) the taping method is a personal fav as it allows the most control and can be adaptable for each person's body/lobe's reaction :)

Try not to sleep in your jewelry. You're able to get away with it at smaller sizes but with bigger ones like yours it's more likely to irritate your ears or cause some sort of discomfort.

So I have a 2g single flair, been wearing for a year or two, decited to get some stone double flair and they wont go in, before I can do fine with sizing, and previously had 00, but came back to 2. What can I do to,get these 2g flair in?

Ive been at a 9/16 for a few years now and just bought 9/16 double flare plugs and ive tried lube, olive oil, mostierizer, and I still cant get them in. How can i grt them in safely without blowing out my esrs?

I have 00 gauge double flared plugs in the mail and I'm mad because one fits in perfect and the other ear just will not lol. I tried hot water and lubrication and it didn't work, guess I'm gonna have to lube up my single flared 00 and wear it for another three-four weeks. :|

@@Jaysie803 had this issue today as i didnt know shrinking was a thing, i was in the shower though and it took a few tries but pulling the lobe down a bit and trying to kinda go at an angle to get one side out worked eventually, and ofc with the heat and steam of the shower as well.

What would you recommend for an ear that is now closed with a lot of scar tissue? I really would like to have both of my ears at the same size but my left ear got infected and it eventually closed.

So what I'm doing is probably not the right way to go about it but I've been in a size 2 since I was 14 I'm currently 27 mine aren't fitting through so I have a 2 gauge 2 a 0 gauge Sizer that's in my ear and I'm letting it sized up my ear just a little bit more so I can just barely get it in there

Ive been at 00g for almost 3 years now, and ive only had ONE pair of double flared plugs go in, and i have to shower to take them in and out most of the time. what am i doing wrong??? why stretching gods?? Why??

I’m stuck at 12mm for 4 years now.. my ears just won’t go to 14mm it sucks and it hurts when i try to stretch.. i also can’t take my plugs out or my ears will shrink fast..

Once you go to double flare plugs is there a risk once you go back to single flare of having your ear be too stretched out and the single flair plug falling out?

Also, try taping for a few days after your ear gets used to the size you got to. I'd say around 5 weeks after a stretch past 00. I'm at 7/8s and after the prior size, it's what I've done. Take your time, people.

My ear has been stretched at a 2 for over 3 years and I got the double flare in my right but my left ear just refuses to let a double flare in and I'm not sure why

What I do, and I can always get a 2x flare in same day I'm at a new gauge. Hot water, oil and I insert at almost 90 degree and sort of push hole into oval shape and gently pry and twist it in. Almost like putting on a tire on rim. He almost does it in vid but needs a bigger angle imo. For me works every time and reverse to get it out.

If I sleep in my single flare, the next day my doubles will fit but I have to put it in on an angle.

Quick question to clarify... what is a threaded tunnel? Are they like double flared or.. what?

Try a size bigger taper then follow with the size you want. Put the 00g taper,follow with the double flare 0g plug or tunnel. Be careful removing for the first couple of times.
