So: 1- Not having the resources (minerals) to make it. Then supplementing HCl is the solution. 2- bile flow issue 3- zinc deficiency 4- chloride (available in salt) deficiency 5- low CO2 (by product of processed carbs) 6- dominated sympathetic system (stress) for a long time.

A lot of people talk about a baking soda test to determine if your stomach acid is too low. Basically, first thing in the morning, before you eat anything, mix a 1/4 of a teaspoon of baking soda in 8 ounces of water and drink it. Then if you don't burp within 5 minutes, it means you probably have low stomach acid. I tried it this morning and I never did burp! So that's not looking good for me. ☹️ What's your thoughts on this test?
@joeschnur4632
@joeschnur4632 3 күн бұрын
I did the burp test - never burped. My wife did it and burped at 2min mark. So I think it works. I started eating a small salad with heavy ACV before meals. Before I go the HCI route, I wanted to try ACV which has a PH of 4. If not, then I will start with low dose 250 mg of HCI before meals. Ideally, I want to solve this naturally. I'm on a low carb diet so that could be a source of my problem. I will start to add some carbs into meals. Good luck to you.

I got acid reflux after 2 years of sweatting (menopause). I thoight I had a deficiency of minerals. So I took some (Ca, Mg, Ka, Na). It would not get better. Now, after another year of sweatting plus acid reflux I tried everything, but it?s hard not to resign... Life is a struggle when you cannot enjoy any meal or the body itself anymore. I have a lot of personal stress and there is a vicious cycle going on...Hope to find solutions here. :). I got acid reflux after a period of quite carnivore style eating... on the other hand I feel that my body reacts to carbs, like I cannot swallow well and there is itching and burning in my throat with a lot of mucus coming up (caughing all the time) immediately. SIGH!!!!! :(((( I just need to implement a regular yoga practise again, I know that...

Did the PPI thing now I'm experimenting with alternatives. Still trying to determine if I've got low stomach acid or possibly a hiatal hernia. A lot of overlapping symptoms. Any advice on self diagnosis? I can imagine taking HCL with a hiatal hernia could cause trouble. Cheers.

Can you comment on how pain relievers like ibuprofen, etc, can mess up the small intestine, scarring it up and decreasing the passage size. Too much vitamin D3 will cause this it alkalines too much by too much calcium. Which is why I went back down to 1000IUs a day. Or 10,000IUs a week. Stress is a biggy too. In the meantime I am taking 30mg zinc gluconate & 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar with my main meal of the day. The vinegar & Zinc are working well.

*question* This has to do with a smell. My stomach has a weird smell, I can't describe it . I know it's coming from the stomach. The other weirdest thing, let's say , A/C is on, I'll smell it , and it smells just like the odor from my stomach. I have never had this before. I asked my spouse if he could smell it, and he said no. My spouse thinks it my nose . I guess I'm the only person who can smell it. I just want to figure out what the issue, and fix it .

HI Debbie, I used to have an infection in my sinuses that I didn't know I had and it would create a smell like that sometimes. Not saying that is happening to you, but might be a possibility.

@@KickItNaturally TC I have an appointment with ENT. I wrote on another KZbin channel of yours today, where I have been to many doctors and including "ER" . I am mostly waiting for my appointment, it's all a process. Last week I found a blog, where people has had the same smell and mentioned what they did, but they never explained why it's happening. I noticed people doesn't look for the Root Cause. If I'm not at a doctor etc , I am on here looking to solve the health issues. It's something 3 1/2 years ago, when some things happened, in the last several months. I read if you had your gall bladder taken out, you could end up having stomach issues, I don't know, if this is true or not . I know a couple of family member had their gall bladder taken out, but they never talk about health, they are pretty private. If you tell your health issues, others will look at you as a problem ( lol ) instead of helping and talk about it .

Can you suggest a type of doctor? 5 months ago I had serious anti-biotics and a few medications. I don't take those meds anymore but I have serious health issues. Flinches that make sleep impossible every other day and muscle twitches out of control. I have been eating super basic healthy food and no sugar, oils, or processed foods. Taking spore forming pro-biotics. A hair analysis report says i have heavy metals and my potassium is at 60! magnesium and sodium are too high as well. I can send you the report. I have no idea what kind of specialist I should see. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
