Steve completely put words in her mouth that it was only at the beginning. She didn’t have sex in that one specific instance but it’s so obvious that there’s more she’s not telling him, and she only admitted to what she absolutely had to. Some people just do not have it in them to be truthful when it matters and I don’t think Steve made the right call pressuring this guy to basically “get over it” - he should have asked her to take another test about whether what she admitted to was the extent of what she lied about. When someone’s excuse for lying is setting up a justification for lying again (“because of how you get”) there can be no trust.
