What a scene. They do such a great job of playing on Carol's tough, snappy exterior to then show her gradually, hesitatingly becoming receptive to Simon's view of her as beautiful and graceful, slowly letting down emotional barriers that she has spent so long building.

Carol did a great thing by allowing him to draw her. That is what he needed. It wasn't a violation of her. It was therapy for him. It was a mental health CURE lack of a better word. She cured him. He had the reason to go on living and wanted life all over again.
