OBSESSED w this analysis the way you cover the girls' characterization and how their sexuality reflects that makes me go crazy

Thank you! My biggest pet peeve is people saying Chainsaw Man is too horny for no reason. I think it’s one of the few stories that use sex and sexuality meaningfully.

For me personally you brought so big layer of depth in this anime, I didn't notice. Thank you.

No problem! Chainsaw man has too many layers to count and this is just one of them.

Chainsaw man is a show that focuses a lot on sexuality, while only showing the minimum necessary sexualization of its characters. It actually surprised me when my friends thought I wouldn't like how raunchy it was; I didn't even notice. It all feels so natural compared to, like, 90% of animes which, instead of using an ecchi scene to enrich the plot, forcefully mold the plot to justify it.

Why would an ecchi anime " justify " the fanservice That's like a comedy anime justifying its humor

Yo, clicking on this vid I did not expect to be treated to solid character analysis with a feminist sexuality lense… like did not expect that at all, but I’m here for it tho! Bruh killin it

Makima is the most terrifying villain in anime, we didnt even know she was till it was far. to. late.
@LukewarmTakesYT Жыл бұрын
She’s subtle, cunning, and effective
@rafaelcastor2089 Жыл бұрын
Didn't we? Her introduction in both the anime and the manga is nothing but upfront with her being bad news. Y'all just gaslit yourselves over some tits lol
@LukewarmTakesYT Жыл бұрын
@rafaelcastor2089 It’s more like we didn’t realize the full capacity of what Makima is or is capable of. We understand she’s not all good throughout the beginning, but being able to understand her is a different story. She is able to move and manipulate the story in a clever way, especially in the upcoming chapters yet to be adapted into anime.

Always gotta love the "audience of the male audience (shonen) genre is mostly male" trope. xD

oh come on, Denji was not a victim of Himeno. Also, isn't Power just like Denji, half human, half devil? Edit: My fav female character has to be Power.
@heraboss55338 ай бұрын
Power is a fiend, basically a devil thats inhabiting a human's corpse. So not quite the same

I know you're only using the clips to buttress your points, but My Dress Up Darling's fanservice is entirely justified by the setting (which is the world of Japanese cosplay) and the characters. You don't see Marin being sexy to any other guy except the one dude she has feelings for, and his inaction whenever she's sexy is an actual problem that causes a bit of a rift between them. Essentially she's the exact opposite of Tamaki, who's literally cursed to get groped by people so she lacks control. Marin by contrast has complete control.

You're not wrong but it doesn't change the fact that both series are made for gooners

Yes but the author and creator of the anime sailor moon is a woman creator, a female creator, and if you look at Sailor Moon, the women in the anime are all sexualized so if the female creator of Sailor Moon is OK with it, then some animes can do this if the creator is a female i do believe that they should turn it down a bit but at the end of the day it’s the parents that need to teach the children the way they should go and is the parents that should teach the boys to treat women with respect and to be one with God and to treat girls and women with respect and to think like a man of god great video 🙏👍
@LukewarmTakesYT Жыл бұрын
I appreciate the input. I don’t think Sailor Moon is a sexualized depiction, though.
