@@Pal3stin3ix_Lov3 We have wasted too many centuries on religion. When the world was advancing in the 15th with technology as simple as a printing press, our religious establishment opposed it. When the industrial revolution arrived in 19th and the 20th century, we were told that as Muslims we should reject western learning and technology. Pictures, movies, television and countless technological advances including in medicine were declared as un Islamic, by the Mullahs. Muslims completely missed the computer age(produced nothing) in the 20th century. Now our Mullahs are misleading and distracting us from the information technology by issuing misguided Fatwas. Muslims have been systematically destroyed by focusing on after life than this life. The consequences are in front of us. A technologically advanced country of Israel with just 6-Million Zionist settlers from Europe are controlling 375-Million Arabs and may well destroy Iran and Pakistan in the coming years. Our leaders(Feudal, Politicians, Military and Mullahs) are clueless or dont give a damn about our people in pursuit of their own foreign bank accounts.

That's my point. I left Pakistan in 2001 to pursue engineering from the US. PKR exchange rate was 1$=75PKR. There used to be Citibank and American Express and direct flights from PK to every US and European major city. Fast forward today, the nation is confined in an open prison and I feel bad for my fellow countrymen. We will always be a nurturing state. We will give birth to children, we will give them education and send them abroad for a job or better education. It's OK to be a nurturing state and many countries in the world works on these model. Our time has come and gone and we missed it as a nation.

CPEC should be reconsidered. It should not be built by any foreign entity but by us via different means. If we rushed to CPEC we will be in china debt trap. And now our establishment wants to okay CPEC diplomacy to stay in power. So it is not that simple. The best solution is always that Pakistan should build this infrastructure by themselves and yes we can do that without external help (we don't have money is pure BS just look out our generals, politicians, and establishment goons dubai investment)

How much employment was generated during construction of CPEC is indicative of how useful it is for Pakistan. If locals feel that grand infrastructure is built on their land while their people stay unemployed, it is bound to have consequences. This would exacerbate the feeling of colonization in the local population and security matters will be hampered. Already people feel alienated due the disproportionate power and wealth distribution in its states.

This is other misconception. Silk route of 500 yrs back. That time the ships were not mechanised, no airplane, no railway and even in those days the major cargo that is spices from indian Chinese subcontinent was transported by sea. Silk probably was transported by road because the humid ship travel was detrimental to the quality of silk and hence this was called silk route.
@vishvajitkumar949729 күн бұрын
News flash: There is no real silk routes.There are multiples major trade route that facilitated the exchange of goods between East Asia and the rest of the world, it was not necessarily a cheap means of exporting Chinese products and they never called it silk route.

As usual. Pakistani mind looking for saazish. No doubt china use to park it's dollars in USA. As you said 1.3 trillion was max in 2013 which still would have been 5 percent of total USA gdp( pegged at 20 trillion ). Not very substantial. The reason is competition in global presence. By the way, China one road and belt policy is nothing but indebting the countries into debt trap. Example srilanka. Second in line is Pakistan. No pakistani will ever question why China is so much interested in gawadar when China has so many Port's across South China Sea aroud the coast of which 90 percent factories are operating. The distance from these industrial area to kasgar the starting point of cpec is around 4500 km on average. After that the length of cpec from kashgar to gawadar is around 3500 kmn. So total distance by road is 7500 kms. How this works economically when you take into consideration that cost of transportation by sea is at least 20 times cheaper than by road. And if you compare about time of transportation by sea to road, still it doesn't make sense because China is not transporting anything perishable.

You understand that Pakistan's challenge lies not with the CPEC itself, but rather with the absence of diverse international investment. While other developing regions are attracting varied foreign capital - with Western tech companies like Facebook investing in digital infrastructure across Africa, and Korean, Indian and Japanese firms developing transportation and logistics projects there, in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and throughout Southeast Asia - Pakistan struggles to attract similar investments due to its security concerns and financial constraints. Other than that it is always better for Chinese firms to relocate to a place where they can take the Advantage of RCEP, Indirect access to India's market and have low capital outflow constraints.

The TBT team has just served you a golden spoon to become successful not only successful by your self instead making your society successful and it is amazing how our economy will grow just by export. I am in china I keep on hearing news about small companies and factories which Tabish has mentioned has just recently moved to Vietnam making into small China hub for trade. I believe the cpec will be utilized well by our brothers and sisters as we have direct road connecting from China to pakistan which very less countries have these opportunity . Time to think out of the box and learn the system trade and do well in your respective lives. Inshallah keep on learning , don’t relocate , peace out .

There is a problem in his view that cpec is a back up for trade and energy which is dumb take the distance that would need to be traversed to get goods out and energy into china given the most of the industry and population is in the far east while the region near Pakistan is low in population is a desert.given that shipping is cheaper than any other transport by weight then only use of cpec is a navel port and to use it industrial capacity because china can not built roads and other infrastructure for ever in it's boarders so it diverted the capacity to save it industry from a slum and slow down.

@Mianaly20 I agree. Simple solution is stop meddling with elections and information. In this day and age, it doesn't matter how powerful you are, you can't control the natural flow of information. Let's disentangle the judiciary, executive and legislature. You forgot to mention the situation has even more nosedived after 2018 till now. DHA is getting bigger than ever, 2024 elections were the biggest laughing stock as election commission is still busy hiding and fudging their own documents at massive scale, but they couldn't do at such scale so crippled the judiciary for cover-up and abolished the people's right to speak and assemble through the barrel of the gun. I have never seen 2/3rd denocratically elected majority Govt so hated by the masses in its first year, so much nervous 2/3rd elected majority Govt that it has even become worse than the Musharraf's and Ayub Khan's dictatorship. When China/GCC would see that iron brother's 2/3rd majority elected PM is reluctant to never hold an open conversation, dialogue with its own public and don't wanna face their questions then who would invest in that country? Even Monarch Dictatorships of GCC for example MBS is much more democratic than the current beloved heavy majority elected Govt that also swept through 3 provinces in 2024 elections as well. With such on paper popularity, public would dump their savings into the Govt coffers and would agree to lower their own incomes at the single request of the PM for the bright future of Pakistan.
