Pakistan has very high energy costs, so we can not compete with the likes of Bangladesh, Vietnam, or Indonesia. Also, the US is looking to raise tarrifs for Mexico because of Chinese industry relocation. Why won't they do they same to us if we get successful by any chance?

Since 2012 Pakistan missed 2 to 3 phases when it could have benefitted greatly from the geopolitics in Asia. In first phase we lost it to Veitnam, in 2nd phase we lost it to India and Bangladesh and now this is another golden chance for us. If our dictators put their mind on this golden opportunity, they can attract industries to Pakistan especially those who want to relocate away from China or Europe looking for cheap labor. Sadly, we don't have those brilliant minds in power to work on it. They can't think beyond an underpass or flyover in Punjab

You are wrong 9:30 their labour cost have increase dramatically but are less in some parts like xian but they now use less labour to maintain same work through machine and produce in bulk and even if usa tariff it 35 ./. Will still be cheaper but the clothes market is cut throat and machinery parts as well so you have 10-15./. Of market void potential and their are many player like vietnam ,mexico and india as well

I really admire your work on KZbin, Muzamil bhai. I’d love to share my two cents on this topic. When the U.S. runs a trade deficit, it must be financed, and this financing typically comes through capital inflows into the country. In essence, dollars flow back to the U.S. either directly via FDI or through capital markets (equity and debt, both corporate and government). This is essentially the balancing mechanism in the balance of payments. Regarding the topic of de-dollarization, there’s been increasing speculation that within the next decade, major economies might abandon the U.S. dollar for trade and shift to a new reserve currency or local currencies. For bulk commodities like petroleum, agriculture, and minerals, this trend is already emerging, as you rightly pointed out. However, for high-value trade (e.g., defense equipment, software, pharmaceuticals, and aircraft), the U.S. would have to lose its technological leadership for de-dollarization to become widespread. Even if China or the EU were to rise to the occasion, there are significant barriers. For instance, China would need to liberalize its capital flows-a major challenge. Chinese citizens are currently limited to transferring a maximum of $50,000 USD abroad annually. Additionally, trust in the U.S. financial markets has been built over centuries, and replacing the U.S. as the global financial leader would require enormous systemic shifts that are unlikely to occur in just a decade. On the topic of hyperinflation in the U.S. due to de-dollarization, it’s essential to consider this from an investor's perspective. The dollars accumulated over decades by countries like China, Japan, India, and the EU need to be parked in liquid and deep markets. Currently, the U.S. Treasury market (~$26 trillion) is unmatched in size and liquidity. Alternatives, such as China’s bond market, remain relatively illiquid, while the EU’s fiscal challenges, particularly among the PIGS nations, make its bonds less attractive on a global scale. When assessing U.S. fiscal prudence, most people focus on the fiscal deficit. However, the more relevant metric is the primary deficit, which excludes interest payments on existing debt and represents the government’s additional spending beyond its revenue. Interest payments largely cycle back into financial institutions, which then assess and allocate loans to viable projects and individuals. The primary deficit, on the other hand, reflects the actual dollars entering the economy. On this front, the U.S. demonstrates fiscal discipline compared to other contenders like China and the EU. In simpler terms, the U.S. isn’t printing money recklessly. Tracking the primary deficit provides a clearer picture of its fiscal health compared to the broader fiscal deficit.

US ne aisa system banaya he ke use replace karna easy nahin he. And btw at the very least...US will remain as a Super power till 2056. Both Financially, Technologically and Militarily. After that China may surpass US in all these spheres...not just Finance. When we consider US leadership...we should also take into account that...if needed the rest of west will also come together to support US so that western hegemony remains intact. So at least till 2056...US will remain a Formidable Power. In 2056...US will become a 280 yr old country. But but no mistake...this West vs China competition will continue into next Century as well.

what about sanctions america is talking about, isn't a sign of America's incounter china-pak futures business collaboration! as now America has demand from india to cover import deficit, as india doing same since russia-Ukranian conflict have been started, how can it work for pakistan. they will have same demand from Pakistan as india. it doesn't sit simply.
@924waqas9 минут бұрын
Suggestions are good, but it lacks some facts and relocation or expansion to Pakistan wont be easy for Chinese companies. Mainly because Pakistan is highly unstable in terms of security (and Pakistan has been unstable for the last idk many decades,) specially the safety of the Chinese and their business in Pakistan. I think Muzamil bhai totally skipped this part which is the most crucial for this business model to work, otherwise it would have happened already during trump's first trade war in his first presidency. I have been living in china for last 7 years, I don't see this happening until Pakistan becomes stable. Chinese are eager to go to Pakistan but they don't wanna risk their lives or money for sure.
