Tibetans: For obvious reasons. The problem is what is considered "Indian land" The regions China is claiming were technically part of the last Chinese Empire and have closer historical and cultural ties to China. The regions would fall to India because the Brits decided those regions were now part of the British Raj territory but they didn't exactly make it clear on the legality of taking over those regions. Now does this mean current China should be demanding these regions back? I don't think so. But it's not as black and white as one would suppose.

Its Indo Tibet border. Not Indo china border. china invaded and captured the entire Tibet in the 50s and then after falsely assuring India that they have nothing to worry about, they suddenly launched a surprise attack and captured aksai chin. India that time had an extremely weak and dumb leader called nehru, who did not allow Indian airforce to intervien which would have made the chinese run away in terror. And that is why ladies and gentlemen, you need strong nationalist and smart leaders.

Because India is an American puppet and India invaded Chinese Soutjern Tibet (Arunachal Pradesh) and China wants Indian invaders to get out of Tibetan territory Arunachal Pradesh and return it to Tibet, which has been part of China since the Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368AD). USA is using all its proxy war puppets India, Japan, Philippines and the DPP party in Taiwan to provoke China from all sides and group bully China trying to carve up Chinese territories and mass invade Chinese territories. China won’t let these American puppets get their ways and will defend its territories from these Indian invaders, Filipino invaders, Japanese invaders and American invaders. China didn’t “invade” Tibet in 1950. Tibet has been part of China centuries before USA was founded in the Yuan Dynasty. Go read up on the history of Tibet. Tibet was never a part of India so India taking Arunachal Pradesh is the real invasion and that should be returned to Tibet…. Stop fabricating your own distorted version of “history”…..

It’s relative. They’ve never been at historical highs, with permanent disputes over Kashmir and even Tibet. Then there was the 2020 border skirmishes which cost 20+ Indian soldiers lives and the outrageous territorial claims by the CCP last year in their controversial map. Oh and the String of Pearls strategy aimed to helm India in navally doesn’t help. These 2 aren’t going to improve until the CCP stops abusing its regional hegemonic aspirations which is alienating everyone around it including India. That’s why despite its strategic autonomy, India is deepening its engagement with QUAD and I2U2. Basic IR Theory: the US has been trying to ‘pull’ India closer but India likes its independence. What’s changed now is China’s behaviour ‘pushing’ India to make these significant foreign policy shifts.

Its not really falling out, its just the result of two countries that have dichotomic goals in the region. It is and always was inevitable. As long as India continues to grow and challenge China in trade and energy, there will always be an animosity. That coupled with the fact that one is a democracy and the other is a totalitarian state, makes things harder. China's supply line sits on the footsteps of India geo-political influence. India on the other hand has a geopolitical nightmare on most of its borders.

This always happens and relations will probably get worse with China and India, the main problem being is that both are big rising powers, it's rare for two major powers to get along, we saw that with the US and Japan in the 80's as Japan was being seen as a threat to the US, we see it today with the US and China as the US sees China as a rising threat, heck, even the EU and US have there ding dongs, with the US wanting to keep the EU countries divided, any rising powers will usually always have issues with other rising or established powers, China and India rising is no exception, so expect more disagreements and fallouts from all this. But on the plus side, with the EU and US already a power and with China and India on the rising, it's giving many options for countries to choose from, which I probably say the US have by far the most to lose because they've had most of the last century as a single power, apart from the Soviet block, whereas the EU is a rising power if they get there act together and integrate in key areas and continue to expand with more countries, it's also clear to see that China and India are likely going to be major powers, and it's probably why the US is the more hostile and aggressive one in trying to put down and contain these powers, especially on China which make themselves an easy target, whereas the EU or India are much harder targets to attack, but things are going on behind doors. At the end of the day, it's all geopolitics, the US will use India to see off the threat of China as they see China as the real threat for now, but as the US rises, the US will see India as a threat, it's a game of basically using each other for their own geopolitical ends, with the US by far having the most to use, hence it's aggression on China, but India needs to be careful, if history is any indicator, the US will go after India if they see them as a rising power that can be seen as a threat to US power, the US have already seen Japan and the Soviet Union off, they've been trying to see the EU off since the 90's but not really having any success with that and are now currently going after China not because of its political system or how the country is structured but more because of the rising economy and how the US sees that as a threat and with that, things are going to get interesting over the coming decades as the US isn't powerful enough to contain all these rising powers that are quickly turning the world into a multipolar world, which could make the US far more aggressive on the world stage to protect its position, which we might be seeing early signs of that already, so interesting times ahead of us.

i don't think india is even a potential threat to the US for the next 70 years , india is already 30-40 yrs behind china at nearly every indicator , its replacement rate has reached 2.1 and soon the population will start to fall , india will talk , talk and talk while china will still rise and the US will try everything to reduce the influence of china . and hypothetically if india rises faster than expected still it has its own issues like its caste system , religious tensions , its neighbours , slums , unplanned cities , pollution etc... and as an indian , we don't want to become a superpower in the first place , we just want that every people inside the country lives a better life but knowing US hypocrite history it will soon come to india like it did to japan , china , iran , russia and india should be prepared for it .

Mr. Lai’s given name is pronounced “Ching Duh”. Older style pinyin used to use diacritic marks to identify voiced variants, so it would have been spelled “T’e” in the old days, but for inscrutable reasons, they were dropped and aren’t really used any more. Unfortunately “e” also does double duty representing “eh” and “uh”. Gotta do a little more research into pronunciation for Chinese, the latinization systems have regular rules, but you can’t just apply English pronunciation directly to pinyin, you’ll make mistakes every time.

There is also significant concern in India regarding Chinese construction to dam a major river that flows from China to India. The dam is massive and very close to the border and some articles say that the Chinese built the dam in secret. India has concern over what the impact on water flows will be and concern over whether the weight of the water held back might cause earthquakes in the region and likely concern over the possibility thst a failure of the dam due to an earthquake could lead to disaster downstream in India.

One of Indian delusion is the belief that India is a victim of China's aggression. To understand how this perception arises, we must consider the dramatic shift in India's geopolitical viewpoint after gaining independence from British rule. British historian Arnold Toynbee noted that while Indians were subjects of the British Crown, they were largely indifferent to British India's borders and even condemned the British Empire's annexation of distant territories as immoral. In 1921, India's Congress Party went so far as to urge neighboring states not to enter into treaties with the Imperial Power (the British Raj). However, once Indians assumed sovereignty, their perspective underwent a complete reversal. Suddenly, the once-distant lands of the British Indian Empire were seen as sacred Indian territory. Even more alarmingly, India began asserting territorial claims over areas that had never been claimed, let alone controlled, by the British Raj. In essence, aspiring to emulate the British Raj, India became expansionist in its own right. In Arnold Toynbee's words: "It is queer that lines drawn by British officials should have been consecrated as precious national assets of the British Indian Empire's non-British successor states. At the time when those lines were drawn the transaction produced no stir among the . . . Indian . . . subjects, as they then were, of the British crown. If any of them paid any attention to what Durand and McMahon were doing, they will have written it off as just another move in the immoral game of power politics that the British Imperialists were playing at the Indian tax-payers' expense. The present consecration of these British-made lines as heirlooms in the successor states' national heritages is an unexpected and unfortunate turn of History's wheel." With respect to China, the best way is to give a chronological order of events leading to the present stalemate: 1912: In the first full year of the Republic of China after the fall of the Qing dynasty, the United States National Geographic Magazine dedicated an issue to China. Accompanying the issue is a large and detailed fold-out map of China. The map clearly shows that Dirang Dzong (德讓宗) and Tawang (達旺) are within the boundary of China. 1943: British India likely calculated that dealing with the Lhasa government was easier than with the Republic of China's Nationalist Government in extracting land concessions and proposed to the United States to recognize Tibet's right to exchange diplomatic representatives with other powers. The Americans rejected this proposal: "The Government of the United States has borne in mind the fact that the Chinese Government has long claimed suzerainty over Tibet and that the Chinese constitution lists Tibet among areas constituting the territory of the Republic of China. This Government has at no time raised a question regarding either of those claims." 1944: British India annexed Dirang Dzong (德讓宗), a Tibetan-settled area. Dzong means fort in Tibetan. The Chinese Government (the Nationalist Government of the Republic of China, seated in Kunming at the time because of World War II) protested to the British. So did the Tibetan Lhasa government. 1945: British India intruded into the tribal area of South Tibet. February 1947: The Chinese Nationalist Government lodged a complaint with the Indian mission, which was by then newly established in China, on British India's border intrusions into Chinese territory. August 1947: Britain left South Asia, and India was created as the successor polity to the departed British. India's creation means that a country that historically did not exist suddenly appears on China's doorstep. October 1947: The Tibetan Lhasa Government dispatched a formal request to New Delhi, asking the newly independent Indian Government to withdraw all its predecessors' intrusions into the territory between the McMahon Line and the traditional border beneath the foothills and return a wide swath of territory from Ladakh to Assam, including Sikkim and the Darjeeling district. 1949: When the defeat of the Nationalist Government in China's civil war was imminent, the Republic of China's ambassador in New Delhi reminded the Indian Government that China did not recognize the McMahon Line and held the Simla Convention invalid. October 1949: The CCP (Chinese Communist Party) took control of the mainland, and its civil war rival, the Republic of China, retreated to Taiwan. December 1949: India recognized the People's Republic of China as the legitimate government, effectively cutting off the diplomatic channel the Republic of China used to deliver its protests to India. February 1951: India annexed Tawang (達旺), the birthplace of the Sixth Dalai Lama and home to the four-hundred-year-old Tawang Monastery. The Tibetan authorities in Lhasa protested but were simply informed by the Indian political officer that India was taking over Tawang. The Tibetans protested again, accusing the Indian Government of 'seizing as its own what did not belong to it.' The Tibetans went on to ask New Delhi to withdraw its forces from Tawang immediately. The protests were ignored. The Republic of China (which had already retreated to Taiwan by then and had no diplomatic relation with India) also vehemently denounced India's territorial travesty. Curiously the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) made no noise. 1954: India published a new map showing South Tibet as part of India. The map also shows the two neighbors of China, Sikkim and Bhutan, as part of India. Sikkim has been a neighbor of China for many hundreds of years and has enjoyed good relations. In the 18th century, Sikkim was briefly overrun by the Nepalese Gorkhas, and the Sikkim king fled to China seeking help. The then Qianlong emperor dispatched an expedition to Sikkim, expelled the Gorkhas, and restored Sikkim's sovereignty and independence. Sikkim remained unmolested for the rest of its history until it was annexed by India in 1975. Bhutan is another neighbor of China, and their proximity is evident simply by comparing the flags of Bhutan and the Qing dynasty of China.

It doesn't even make sense from a Taiwanese standpoint. Fyi, the Taiwanese refer to mainland China as the "mainland", 大陸. Why don't you start calling Great Britain the "Upper- and Lower-Orkney Isles" or refer to continental U.S.A. as the "Eastern Hawaiian Badlands". It is a comfortable world we live in, where people can afford to just never grow up.

India was never offered a UNSC permanent seat and if there was, it would be documented in the "minutes of the meetings" of UNSC and there would be a voting process taking place regarding that matter and UNSC resolutions would have documented those events. And if India was ever offered a UNSC permanent seat, why is it that India has to beg for the UNSC permanent seat for over 30+ years and each time she was rejected? Common sense and real historical records refute lies easily. 🤭 Source: JSTOR Title of article: INDIA'S PERMANENT MEMBERSHIP OF THE U. N. SECURITY COUNCIL : CHANGING POWER REALITIES AND NOTIONS OF SECURITY Author: Manoj Kumar Mishra (Indian) What article said specifically: India has been bidding for the permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council since 1994 when India made its intention clear in the General Assembly that it was prepared to bear the responsibility of the permanent membership of the Security Council.
