I'm going with go pro. The action 2 resolution at 4k was worse than the 1080p resolution on both my other cameras. I thought I could correct it but got tired of it and just tossed it in the trash. It also has jitteryness that can be annoying. Can be fixed raising the shutter speed but I don't want to raise my shutter just to fix the jitter.

are you sure you did not have the zoom turned on? This is what happened to me. zoom turned on looks like trash on action 2. Yes Gopro is more versatile and better quality. what do you mean by jitteryness? - when you walk and it tries to stabilise?

Hi Victor Action 2 is now like 280 dollars on power. Combo offer. Is it worth it, or not as the image is too wide? Doesn't the horizontal steady crop in , making more narrow fov? Cheers 👍

wow, that is some good price. So between action 2 and gopro 10 I would choose the action 2 at this price and buy accessories for the rest. Horizon Balancing crop does make it less wide. See my test here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nH_ainSMbrBsb9E (somewhere from 2min i compare all shooting formats & resolutions) It does make it less wide, this is how I would probably shoot.

I got the Action 2 on the Amazon super-sale a few weeks ago. I agree the digital zoom is totally useless and I will never use that again. The footage when I got home made me initially think I smudged the lens, but further testing proved it just is workless. Otherwise, I like the small size and wearability of the Action 2

yeah, that zoom :( I can only imagine buying the camera at an airport and filming your vacation with zoom on because it looked ok on the screen. wearability is for sure the power here. It is also very non-threatening. people don't get upset when they see it. Also wearing it around your neck not bouncing so much, that is great for action stuff.

@@spirittravels. question is what do you plan on doing with it. Like the insta360 Go2 it has its place. Say you want first person and stick it to your chest etc. WAAAAAAAY more fun than a GoPro 10 :)

But for the 4K120 which one do you think is best? I would probably choose the gopro 10 overall.

I still prefer the GoPro 10 look more. But the fact that the DJI Action 2 in such a small form factor can produce 4k120 is not far from a miracle...

Yup, for sure! I don’t think it’s night and day difference but if i had to choose just based on stabilization or quality probably gopro on top. Which one did you buy?

GoPro wins in most areas, I still went with the Action 2 because of the size great Prime Deal. Lets see if I will like it. But I will sell it most likely when the insta360 go3 comes out

yup, I think that is the choice tbh. I really matters what fits your style. For exemple with the Action 2 when I tried it for vlogging I kept it on the neck strap and IN MY SHIRT POCKET when entering places that looked like not friendly for cameras. If I put the gopro in my chest pocket it will drag my shirt down 🤣 so I think the Action 2 is a good camera. :D

yup, I think I choose the GoPro10 over the dji action 2 when it comes to quality. Now ease of living... that is for sure DJI action 2. way simpler to work with...
