Circumcision doesn't have any negative effects on men, and it actually has many benefits. It helps protect against diseases like STDs and penile cancer and infections and any other problems that the foreskin causes. Having it done at infancy is better than having it done later on in life as an adult for a lot of reasons. Female circumcision on the other hand doesn't have any benefits, and it causes a lot of problems, and that's why it needs to be stopped. There's nothing wrong with circumcision, Circumcision also reduces the risk of urinary tract infections.

In first-world countries circumcision starts with a doctor's appointment? hold on, in the united states nearly everyone my generation (millennial) and older, including me, was circumcised as an infant. There was no doctor's appointment where a discussion with a consenting individual happened. But it's cultural here, not religious. The harms of infant circumcision have almost nothing to do with pain or trauma experienced by the infant. It has everything to do with bodily rights, and adults having to live without a natural part of their body. I wish and wonder all the time what it would be like to have my foreskin.

I had a botched circumcision as a newborn and as a result I have a skin bridge connecting the shaft to the glans. It's just one bridge but it still makes me self-conscious although I've learned to deal with it. A lot of circumcised men have it far worse, having more than one bridge and they either have to live with (often times it makes erections and sex painful) it or go through embarrassing surgery to correct it. I wouldn't wish circumcision upon my greatest enemies.

I'm no expert, but I was told of the following. During WW2 the Nazis used circumcised males to identify them as Jewish. Moving forward, after the war, there were a lot of Jewish Doctors and they started to circumcise everyone so that they could never again be identified this way should such a circumstance occur again. If this is correct, then is this right? I don't think so. It is mutilation in my opinion and if Jewish people do it as part of their religious practices that's fine, but it shouldn't be forced on non Jewish people. It's been made the norm in hospitals since that time. You are right, if God made us that way, then who are we to change that? The foreskin was meant to protect for obvious reasons. One just has to keep it clean. I see no practical reason for circumcision.

For example, your appendix is totally natural but does nothing beneficial anymore. It mostly just causes trouble down the line. If there was suddenly a minimally invasive surgery to remove the appendix at birth which removes the possibility of dangerous appendicitis, I think it would be smart to consider it. While I agree that the evidence is not good enough to warrant the removal of part of the foreskin, it IS possible for there to be some scientific debate about whether a "natural" feature is actually helpful or not. Making a medical decision for your child is not "violating their right to choose" any more than getting them an appendix surgery at age five. Grow up.

I genuinely want the doctor who circumcised me to face accountability. I don't care if it's jail time or an apology with the promise to never perform this barbaric unnecessary procedure on an infant or child ever again. The erogenous zones of the penis have been studied and the foreskin is the most sensitive of all skin. PLUS it covers and protects the head of the penis from wear and tear, weather and clothing... keeping the head in its natural condition and making it able to contribute lubrication when it engages in coitus. A circumcised man is not likely to be as "in tune" with his partner as an intact male, so much incompatibility occurs, affecting relationships. 7-14 days to heal? Wrong. It can take sometimes 3 weeks to a whole month for the stitches to dissolve. Assuming they use dissolving stitches. And it takes another month or two for the area to be completely healed. During this whole process from day after surgery to the complete healing, we need to keep the area clean. Always apply a thin layer of Vaseline on the area, especially with stitches in. Makes the stitches softer eliminating the prickly feeling you’ll experience. Vaseline also keeps the area soft and moisturized. When the stitches are in, after applying Vaseline, wrap some gauze around it. Securely, but not too tight to where discomfort occurs. Then secure it with medical tape. When you need to clean the area, gently remove the previous dressing, as not to rip out any stitches, clean it with anti bacterial soap, gently pat the entire dry, apply Vaseline, and wrap it. Repeat the process twice daily, upon waking, and before bed. If you need to, do it in the middle of the day as well. I know from experience. I was circumcised summer of 2020 at the age of 22.

Circumcision is simply a procedure where the risks far outweigh the benefits. When the procedure goes as planned people can physically recover quickly, but circumcision (genital mutilation) is also associated with lifelong dissociative trauma response disorders which often get misdiagnosed as ADD/ADHD. It has the potential to lead to mistrust of parents later in life, and simply shouldn't be anyone's decision other than the person getting the procedure done. It also makes the penis less sensitive and takes away a lot of the pleasure nerves. (Who wouldn't be mad about having this choice made for them?) I forgave my parents, but the truth is they were lied to by a medical establishment into giving manufactured consent to a predatory procedure that frankly in a healthy society should be banned for minors. If someone wants to be circumcised, that is something they can decide for themselves later in life when they are capable of giving consent on their own. The only reason it is done to young people is so they might forget the pain caused by the procedure. But just because they don't have the memory does not mean they don't have the trauma. All the health benefits associated with circumcision are only applicable to a small area in Africa and that was decades ago before modern medicine was as developed. When parents are informed, they will realize that it's very similar to giving their infant a tattoo against their will. So right there you lose a good 30 percent of your full pleasure potential. On top of that, fhe frenulum gets removed (which the foreskin is connected to) and the frenulum is the the MOST pleasure spot in a man, since the contractions occur and aim to that point of the penis. My mother is German and I'm not circumcised. I'm no expert, but I was told of the following. During WW2 the Nazis used circumcised males to identify them as Jewish. Moving forward, after the war, there were a lot of Jewish Doctors and they started to circumcise everyone so that they could never again be identified this way should such a circumstance occur again. If this is correct, then is this right? I don't think so. It is mutilation in my opinion and if Jewish people do it as part of their religious practices that's fine, but it shouldn't be forced on non Jewish people. It's been made the norm in hospitals since that time. You are right, if God made us that way, then who are we to change that? The foreskin was meant to protect for obvious reasons. There’s IS no argument! Children Should NOT be circumcised unless their life is at stake or there is a medical complication. It’s ALL about the RIGHT of the child. Circumcising leads to less sensation. Years of unprotected rubbing of glans against cloths surfaces leads to loss of sensation. Hardening is an adaptation to damage; the glands becomes rough and crack-looking; that reduces sensation. Imagine sliding down a hill when you’re circumcised! The glans on an uncut penis is glossy and shiny and protected, with a healthy color. *Uncircumcised- the beautiful jewel is protected, sliding back the foreskin to reveal the beautiful jewel that’s hidden inside. A beautiful precious flower blooming and opening. Enticing excitements as to how it will look like. Glossy, shiny, and undamaged. *The jewel is exposed 24/7 and not special anymore on the circumcised penis. It's damaged. An outside organ now. 2. Fuck religion/culture as a reason to circumcised. How the hell do you even know if your child will grow up to follow the same religion/culture as you do? If he does he’ll circumcised himself then. So what, god put it there just to be cut? And exactly WHY the foreskin? Is it to make a pact? But why EXACTLY the foreskin? And does this mean that women can’t make a pact with god. Weird. I know many men who regret getting circumcised because they were either forced as a baby or because they think it’s “normal” to be circumcised or because they wanted to fit in; and most of them wonders and fantasying about how sex must feels like if they were not cut… what it must be like... 7. Circumcision reduces HIV? Yeah like some 30-40%, you’re still at risk no matter what. And how the hell did they come up with those numbers?! Eyeroll. There are NO valid or genuine studies because in order to have a legit study, there needs to be two groups; one group circumcised and sleep with hiv infected people, and the other non circumcised and sleep with hiv infected people, now you can compare! But who the hell will sleep with any one infected? You see? Years ago a bunch of people in Africa thought that getting cut will prevent hiv and so they got cut and go out and have a bunch of sex- many of them got infected lol. Since Jesus paid the price for all of our sins on the cross, no sacrifice we could offer up will ever match what he did for us. That's what circumcision was in the bible, a sacrifice to enter God's covenant. The way this verse was explained to me, is that if you believe you must circumcise yourself to be saved, you don't believe that what Jesus did on the cross was enough. In fact, Paul calls these people "Judaizers" which were Jewish 'Christians' who tried to enforce the Old Testament onto the Gentiles. I have a really long foreskin which over the time became tight and retraction was painful. This is when i thought of going for circumcision, but then i thought about so much sensitivity and pleasure this piece of skin gives me. Then i started to slowly retract the skin with the help of coconut oil and massage my penis with the oil. I keep asking people to send me the laws, statutes or actions by legislatures that dictate genital cutting rituals of any kind to be a parent's right. The only ones I know are where they have excepted "male circumcision" from laws in specific states. For example, Idaho exempts it from their law against ritualistic abuse of children. I'm betting you know what happened in California (well discussed in the American Circumcision documentary). Recently Alabama excepted it from their new law aimed at protecting trans minors. As to your last sentence: this seems to suggest that the Michigan judge that identified the USA's Anti-FGM law unconstitutional grants parents the right to cut the genitals of their daughters. There are two other downsides to circumcision. Firstly, there is reduced sexual pleasure (despite what you said to the contrary). This is backed up by the anatomical structure of the foreskin, and self-reported anecdotal data in “studies” does not refute this. Second, when done to a baby or a child, it is without his uninfluenced and informed consent. This is a violation of human rights and bodily autonomy rights. Additionally, circumcision does not reduce the risks of STIs, UTIs, and other conditions (such as phimosis) as much as it is advertised to. These risks are only significant when an uncircumcised boy/man does not know or practice proper hygiene.

"When you agree..." Really? Cause I never agreed to this, it was decided for me. They botched the procedure and now I can't have sex. I've had to accept that I will never have children naturally. Of course, my parents don't know any of this, because while it was their decision, they don't live in the body that they had modified. If you want a circumcision, whether that be for religious or aesthetic reasons, then that's great for you, but as far as I'm concerned, the fact that this type of procedure is allowed to be performed on infants is a human rights issue.

Whereas mothers are usually the ones signings those MIC consent forms and, when confronted many years later, often say that it is the fathers insisting upon MIC, it is mostly WOMEN objecting to that NH bill that would mandate BOTH parents' signatures.

There is also a Danish study which showed circumcised men had a 53% higher rate of STDs than uncircumcised men. If there is no medical indication for a circumcision of the foreskin, then it is clearly a mutilation. When I was about 3 or 4 years old, I’d suffer from a narrowing of my foreskin, which was bounded to my glans. My mother went to a specialist with me and they just loosened it. I can still remember the burning pain, but I am glad that I am an intact man and that I am able to feel everything with my little friend 😉 p.s.: I was born and raised in the Ex-GDR

I wish the doctors had given my poor little nephew that option of just loosening it. I’m here trying to learn how to help my sister and nephew because my poor baby had a botched circumcision (due to “supposedly” requiring it for a urological condition according to the doctor but I don’t buy it) and it’s sad to hear even adults struggle with the adverse affects of circumcision procedures years after they’re done. There needs to be a full on documentary done to educate more people cuz its just sad how many people are getting painfully botched from unneeded circumcision.

Not sure if this is true or not but!!! Alot of doctors have told me that being circumsized takes away alot of the feeling/pleasure away.. A few people i know that went through with the surgery now have told me they regret it badly.

From what I've read online, it's not really that good. 1) The head gets really dry 2) You lose sensitivity of the penis 3) It probably doesn't feel good when your penis is rubbing against your clothes. A few people have even committed suicide because of it.

That is not true really. The pleasure and feeling is still the same after I got circumcised. I got circumcised when I was 12 and after 15 years of being circumcised it is still the same feeling.
