I was at All Out, I am the millenial Chicago wrestling fan that is Punk's core demo. The building was totally split on blaming the Elite for screwing Punk, & just being disappointed in how badly Punk fit i to AEW, cuz... we like AEW. There were definitely lots of CM Punk chants throughout, but they had to battle the other half of the crowd. But yeah, Chicago loved Hangman on the preshow, 100% behind Kenny, it's the Bucks that are the heat magnets.

Hangman and Kenny were near-100% over. Young Bucks definitely got the worst reception, but I think they went into the show planning on acting heel if their reception wasn’t overwhelmingly babyface. To the Punk fans who are going to get mad at Brian for what he said at the beginning of the video, ask yourselves this before commenting: When a person is making legitimate arguments as to why this happened and has explained it in a way where Punk's behavior in his return is akin to that of a toxic relationship where everyone is forced to walk on eggshells around YOUR GUY, why are you still thinking he's the victim and deserves your support?

I kinda wanna be mad but I can't because Brian makes good points about it (plus Brian himself said he like Punk too,). Honestly, its hard to listen to the recent news about Punk but getting into more fights with him being the common theme paints a bad picture. It is a shame that Punk couldnt work with the lockerroom anymore. And this is coming from someone who listens to Going in Raw, Jim Corrnette and Wrestling with Wregret and ocasionally Wrestletalk. I know this was a powder keg of factors that led to this, and all of that isn't on CM Punk, but that does not excuse what he did. There is no world where what he did is fine. This PPV definitely overdelivered. Cassidy vs. Mox is one of the company's finest matches ever. Per the CM Punk situation, it felt inevitable. It wasn't being dealt with, a separate roster in a desperate attempt to help Punk get along was doomed from the start. I don't think CM Punk is a bad guy but I think it's undeniable that he just plain doesn't get along well with other people. In both of these major situations in AEW, CM Punk threw the first punch when the other party merely had words. And given how much time Punk spent making snide comments about other wrestlers who, correctly, chose to ignore him, it's wildly hypocritical for Punk fans to act like Jack Perry took things too far when Punk was shooting on Hangman and the Bucks for months. You can like CM Punk and still admit that he's a dick, and acted like a dick. Like everyone else, he's not beyond reproach, and this cult of personality, pun intended, that he's built around himself that basically dictates that he gets to be an asshole because he's CM Punk and that's what he does, is just immature. I don't care how big of a star you are or how many shirts you sell, when you start assaulting people, you're the problem, and in a company that went to extreme lengths to accommodate and appease Punk after the first fight that he started, he has few to blame other than himself for managing to still somehow get fired.

AEW usually do promote their pay per views really well, but I do admit that for All Out it was very little of it, rushed & it clashed with their promotion on All In, which made it kinda confusing at times. Brian, your answer to the whole thing has been the most rational answer I've heard these couple of weeks & it feels like a breath of fresh air! I've been hearing that Tony Khan's answers & decision was a wussy & non believable thing, that he wouldn't be able to handle the tough guy wrestlers back in the day - though I doubt they actually threatend to hit their boss for real unless they got screwed in their pay or something! Why would Tony lie about it & wouldn't you have felt the same way If someone was threatning to hit you & hurt you?! Oh, he's a bad boss?! Yeah, too care for the safety about his workers & talent, that's a real bad boss! (Am being sarcastic for those who didn't get it, believe it or not, there are actually some people who wouldn't get it because of misinterpretation!) So Tony needs to be more of a leader, ok I can agree with that, but If I was a wrestler I would still rather work for Tony Khan than Vince McMahon! "But Vince is retired", is he though, IS HE REALLY?! And then there's the WWE purists & marks who has been using CM Punk's bad behaviour as an excuse to complain that AEW sucks & now they are so 100% sure that he will return to WWE & it will all be great! Well guess what, even IF he did return, he would still start another fight & drama there in no time & it will exactly be like what they have been complaining about before! But they're not gonna admit it, even though that's the truth! And yes I know Punk has made amends to Triple H & Miz, but there are still other people there who don't like him & chances are that Punk will definitely piss off other talents that hasn't meet him before or they will easily piss him off. It sucks that CM Punk got fired, I liked him too, he was freaking awesome, but sadly it was necessary. He's the only one who has been starting fights backstage twice, they gave him another chance (mostly because he is a big name & he draws a crowd) but he f**ked that up & he's suppose to be a mentor to these younger guys, but what kind of a mentor just beat the sh*t out of a young wrestler who obviously needs more learning?! This really sucks & I feel really disappointing for what Punk has been doing. It was so freaking awesome to see him again 7 years later in wrestling & then this idiocy happens! If he returns to WWE, I'm still not gonna watch it, WWE can have him & his dramatic idiocy! You're welcome, WWE-universe! Even Jack Perry f**ked up, but even I think he deserves one last chance, If he does it again then you can fire him! Hopefully while in suspension he has learned his lesson.

I don’t agree with this. People did way worst things in the 70s and 80s. Had it been Undertaker telling Jungle boy not to do the spot, would he still have done it? This whole elite bs gives me nwo vibes and Tony is super unprofessional by thinking it’s cool to be friends with the talent. He signs cm punk just to not have his back. He signed him to boost Aew numbers up and then when he realized that cm punk wasn’t like the other dudes that he couldn’t control he tries to isolate him and treat him like dirt. Then TK tried to make Punk a locker room leader and tries to get him involved only for him to set him up. Most wrestlers are jerks and they don’t live in a world based on reality. So you got these young dudes who think they can do whatever without respecting the veterans. What ever happened to paying your dues? All of a sudden nobody likes punk? But when he shows up at survivor series watch how everyone will tune in. This isn’t high school, whether someone is older or not doesn’t mean someone can not trigger someone. We only know what we saw and what we’ve heard but we don’t know what actually happened or has been happening behind the curtain unless they release that. I like both but the other veterans should’ve had punks back too. Whether they all get along or not, if they want to compete with WWE the gotta do WWE things. AEW looking really playground-ish and good old boy clubish. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea. At the end of the day punk is responsible for what he did but everyone’s been in positions where they’ve been triggered and instead of walking away they reacted. I don’t judge punk for that and jungle boy probably walking on his high horse cuz the environment allows him to do so.

The Colt rumors, Page's promo, Elite storming his locker room when he was clearly upset in the first place, whatever happened with the travel accommodations, Elite refusing to meet and work this out and actually make money from it, Perry being a little shit... He needs to act like a businessman. Punk is a conversational person. Khan was more concerned with ratings/publicity and trying to beat WWE that he didn't think about how Punk is a egotistical jerk. We need to see the video I think to know with certainty what happened. You’re basing what happened specifically on what’s been “leaked” and given out by the same sources that have been an issue with this for a while now. This was never going to work if both sides of the locker room didn’t come together. But that wasn’t going to happen and I can put the blame for that on the Young Bucks with the info we have so far. Punk expressed interest in meeting and hashing things out, but they refused on multiple occasions. So with that divide, it just created a mess of a situation that was untenable in the long term. Tony has a bigger share of the blame more than anyone. If he can’t get his talent to even talk to each other, then that means the talent don’t respect him. If Punk, Perry, Page, the Bucks or whoever feel like they can do what they want freely, then they feel that way for a reason. You can say that Punk was fired and that’s proof, but I’ll believe it when he dishes out similar punishments to those that are more closely to the Elite. Because it’s easier to fire one person than someone that’s part of a clique like that that might make your friends in that clique mad.
