Aapne kbhi DTU ke placement records dekhe bhi hai. Last year Microsoft ne All over World 200 top logo ki hiring ki thi na to usme 3 DTU ke hi the none of Nsit and IIITD. Highest was from Iitd and iitb and then dtu. Hrr year domestic package is nearly 55-60 lakh ka highest and one of best core placement in india. Electrical core goes as high as 33 lakh and Mechanical goes to 26 and Civil to 13. That's much comparable to top IITs and way above nsit. I just can't believe bro nsit is nothing in frnt of DTU.😂😂

@@akscs373 let me start with this, I AM A STUDENT OF IIIT Hyd, and regret not joining top 3 NITs. idk on what basis you are saying iiit hyd is better than top 3 nits, you must understand that there are a million other things going in the college apart from academics, and there are lot of other things other than just cs, look at the entrepreneurship opportunities in top 3 nits, especially nit karnataka, a lot of founders of companies like delhivery, practo, koo etc are from nitk, iiit hyd excels at only one thing, which is research in computer science, you don't get exposure to anything else other than the people who see from the perspective of programming languages. And if you see the opening and closing ranks also, for example nit trichy cse, for non-home state people, the closing rank in round 6 is 781 and opening rank is 163, stupid people are not going in these colleges. People from these NITs and top IITs also go to pursue higher education in colleges like harvard business school, stanford business school, INSEAD, IIM ABC etc. you won't find mostly anyone from iiit hyd pursuing such a career. if you dont believe me just look at the recent admission reports from IIM B, IIM A, IIM C...almost 70% are engineers with 35% of the 70% being iitians, 36% being NITians. You won''t have free time for basically anything extra curricular apart from cs which these business schools require for making your profile more complete. The reason of very high cutoffs in JEE mains for iiit hyd is not because its better than everyone else, its because there are multiple other ways to get into IIIT hyd apart from JEE mains. and being from IIIT hyd, i can say to you that there is nothing enjoyable going on here, poor fest, strict professors, extreme deadlines and assignments, 85% attendance, low sports, games etc. You are basically stuck with just CS and nothing else. Also the placement statistics are very skewed, don't take them very seriously, placements in CS are more or less the same in BITS Pilani, top 3 NITs, IIIT hyd, and iits other than iit delhi, bombay, kanpur, kgp, madras(They have more international offers making the average placement record go up, but those international salaries are just average when you take into account of the PPPs of those countries).

IIT's super strong alumni organization is one of the prime factor for their great placement statistics and packages also. Unfortunately, NITs are new (established 2003) Institutes and comparatively have weaker alumni compared to IITs. Even top NIT's situation such as NIT Trichy or NIT Rourkela can not be compared with IITs overall placement (including employment and higher education) performance. While fund difference (comes from government) is a factor, revenue generation by the Institute is another big factor, where IITs are much ahead of NITs. However, there are new IITs which showed tremendous progress, such as IIT Hederabad and IIT Ghandinagar. Similarly, NIt Rourkela has showed great progress also. I think lots of such factors should be considered before presenting......

A friend of mine, from civil branch from NIT kurukshetra, not even top nit, got into google with 8.66 cgpa and extremely good ranks in competitive programming competitions.

TOP 8-9 NITs ko chod ke aur sab kuch khaas nahi hai aur tier 2 me aate hai. aur ek college me sirf placement nahi dekhna chaiye. Eg; DTU is one of the best engg college in india ( But not better than top 12 iits) kisi bhi aspect me aajao college life, infra, brand name (DCE same as IIT ), location , alumni , nice startup culture , fest, coding culture, free time to explore things,etc and coming to core branches , after top iits ,bits pilani ,jadhavpur. DTU is best for core branches and mechanical and civil are asia ki best. but one thing which is worst about this is 85% reservation which restrict the clg to attract cultural variety between students. lekin jis din DTU fir se Central University ban gaya us din ye college BITS pilani ko bhi piche kar dega..

Ask yourself that can u do it are u willing to do it? If u think u can do it take a drop immediately ur this score doesn't mater as u have studied nothing I can say this because previous year I am in class 12 I gave jee I got 4 percentile but I don't even study 1 hr per day at that time after that I decided to drop then my first attempt came this year as my syllabus was not completed fully I have covered only 40 percent syllabus. I got 85.5 percentile in feb attempt then I dropped March attempt now preparing for next attempt let's see what happens just wanna tell u that if u think u can do it go for it
