Dude, I know this might sound corny or whatever, but for some reason part of me thinks that watching this video may have just given me the final “piece of the puzzle” for me in order to become financially successful, I can’t believe I never thought of things this way. If in a couple months or the next few years I become financially free and I can attribute part of the reason to watching this vid, I will literally tattoo “Thanks Troy” on myself 😂😂 Regardless, thanks for posting this very well made, highly motivational video 🙏🏼

I LOVE IT KEEP GOING BROTHER! But my question is: what about Amazon?
@thetroymassey8 ай бұрын
Thanks man, I really appreciate the kind words! Oooo yeah taking on Amazon head on would be tough. It depends on which aspect of Amazon you'd want to compete. If you're thinking about setting up e-commerce, then Amazon may be better viewed as a facilitator rather than a competitor. In other words, given our e-commerce brand and products - how can we leverage these e-commerce platforms (amazon, shopify, etc.) to outperform sellers who are our direct competitors.

haha love it. Yeah, when I was younger I was always so concerned about sharing my "million dollar ideas." These days, I don't worry about sharing my ideas with most people. I've realized that the majority won't actually do what it takes to start a business, so I'm pretty open about what I'm planning.

Could it be a problem if there is too many competitors in the specific niche? Or I can still try to copy them?
@thetroymassey9 ай бұрын
Great question. My perspective is that generally speaking yes, you can entered crowded markets and win business. But I'd add this: It's not just copying. It's copying an idea and improving the customer experience. Before you enter a crowded market, you - like the Instagram founders example in this video - have to identify how the customer experience can be improved. It has to be improved enough to get customers who are currently use the competitions' products or services to use YOUR products or services.

What business do I need to copy to make me $1 million a year or $10,000 a month? Please help me with this answer please.
@thetroymassey9 ай бұрын
Good question. I have two thoughts here - the first is I'm curious why these two options? $1M per year is a business many times the size of one doing $10k/mo. As for which business to copy....it's an impossible question for me to answer for someone else. But I'd say this - any business that is doing $1M/year or $10k/mo is a business that may be worth copying. It very likely more comes down to which businesses are aligned with your interests and skill set. Most businesses can hit $1M/year (top line) and basically any business can do $10k/mo. Sorry this is so generalized, but it's probably best to start by thinking about the type of business you would actually enjoy owning.

In this day an age, isn't it inevitable? As everything is mostly reinventing the wheel
@thetroymassey9 ай бұрын
Good comment. Yeah I think you are right. It's just that some people let the idea phase ("which business do I start") become too big an obstacle because they want the idea itself to be novel. The reality is the creativity and "newness" should be in how to execute an existing idea.
